The substance of emptiness

It almost seems like the universe put me in touch with him so that I could learn some things — lessons about emptiness and illusions.

The concept of "emptiness" is a staple of Buddhist literature and philosophy that, like a crazy-colored cocktail, has a few different ingredients. One is contemplative. Once, in meditation, I experienced a tiny few seconds of stillness and absolute peace. It was emptiness, and the scale of it was too scary to hang around and explore.
