After the U.S. and Iran agreed to a ceasefire deal on June 17, a senior U.S. official was monitoring the online reaction when they noticed something surprising.
President Donald Trump’s aides had expected his supporters to celebratethe agreement. Instead, online influencers in Trump’s MAGA movement were excoriating it on social media. One shared an Israeli op-ed titled, “You Could Have Been the Greatest President of All—But You Failed.” Several postedthe samevideo of Qatar’s prime minister appearing to snub Vice President J.D. Vance in Israel, arguing it showed regional powers dismissing the Trump Administration’s “naivete.” Others accused Trump of surrendering before achieving his stated objective of eliminating Iran’s nuclear program. Many of the posts appeared almost simultaneously, with similarities in language and tone.
The official began collecting screenshots, and came to believe it wasn’t a coincidence. Tracing tweets by prominent members of the online right, the official came to believe there was an unlikely figure at the centerof all this criticism: Trump’s former presidential campaign manager and digital guru, Brad Parscale.
Last September, the global ad agency Havas hired Parscale’s firm, Clock Tower X, to conduct a digital campaign on behalf of the State of Israel, according to Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) filings reviewed by TIME.Under the agreement, Parscale’s operation would produce 100 original pieces of content each month, with at least 80% aimed at Gen Z audiences across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and podcasts. In a Services Agreement draft included in the filing,Parscale also pledged to amplify the campaign across social media and through “integration of narrative messaging into Salem Media Network properties and aligned distribution channels,” referring to the Christian conservative broadcasting and publishing company where he serves as Chief Strategy Officer. Parscale vowed the effort would produce at least 50 million digitalimpressions per month, as well as influence how AI tools such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Anthropic’s Claude, and Google’s Gemini characterized Israel and the war. For all this, Israel agreed to pay Clock Tower X$1.5 million per month.
JD Vance has claimed he is the target of an Israeli-funded propaganda campaign over his Iran peace push, and that Jeffrey Epstein had ties to the ‘highest levels’ of Mossad.
The Vice President made the explosive allegations during a nearly three-hour sit-down with podcaster Joe Rogan.
Vance pointed to a Time magazine report he said proved American influencers were being paid to attack the Iran deal. The report notes that money has flowed through a former Trump campaign operative and is bankrolled by elements of the Israeli government.
‘My response to that is, well, go to hell,’ Vance said of those taking the cash to smear him. The Vice President, who complained he has been branded an anti-Semite, declared that Israel is losing the public opinion battle in America.
He also said that ‘figures’ inside the Israeli government are manipulating American public opinion to keep the war going ‘indefinitely.’

At that meeting, sources said, Bessent delivered a blunt ultimatum: Goldman Sachs could face scrutiny for alleged conspiracy in the funneling of the Singham money and urged Solomon to cooperate with federal investigators. Goldman Sachs is cooperating with the investigation.
When Canada becomes a platform for transnational networks to project coercion, intimidation, or violence outward, the country faces a sovereignty threat that deserves a name: reverse foreign interference.
Canada has spent years asking who is interfering inside its borders. Operation Hard Ball raises a harder question: who is using Canada to interfere, intimidate, or operate beyond them?
That is the core of reverse foreign interference. The term is not yet part of Canadian law, but it belongs in Canada’s national-security vocabulary. It describes cases in which transnational criminal, extremist, or digitally enabled networks use Canadian territory, legal protections, diaspora communities, transport routes, immigration systems, or digital space to target people, institutions, or foreign jurisdictions from Canadian soil.
The usual foreign-interference debate asks who is targeting Canada. Reverse foreign interference asks who is exploiting Canada as a platform.
That question now matters after Operation Hard Ball, the US-led crackdown against India-based organized crime networks operating across the United States, Canada, and Europe. For Canada, this is not simply a foreign gang case. It is a sovereignty warning.
Operation Hard Ball and the Canadian platform
Western Standardreported this week that an unsealed Los Angeles indictment accuses Indian gang leaders of ordering the 2023 assassination of Hardeep Singh Nijjar outside a Sikh temple in Surrey, British Columbia. The indictment marks the first formal US charging document to directly implicate Bishnoi gang leadership in the killing.
The wider US case is larger still. According to the US Department of Justice, prosecutors charged 37 defendants tied to three transnational criminal groups. The operation produced 24 arrests, including arrests in Canada, and involved accusations of assassination, murder, extortion, kidnapping, drug trafficking, human smuggling, weapons trafficking, and firearms offences.

We’ve been quiet recently because Mark Goodwin and I have been working to write the most comprehensive investigation into Polymarket’s origins and ambitions to date.
We found that Polymarket’s “official” origin story, that Shayne Coplan founded the company alone in 2020 and then built “the company in his bathroom”, is a lie. Polymarket really started years earlier as another company called TokenBnk that was deeply tied to Israeli interests, specifically a crypto company founded by Benjamin Netanyahu’s niece and nephew. Coplan has actively tried to obfuscate this company from his story and it’s not the only thing either.

The Canadian people will grit their teeth, yet do nothing because they accept their provincial government has already been corrupted by Chinese money.
