An algorithm-based ranking of the world’s foremost military powers taking into account over 50 different factors to determine each country’s position.
Quantity and quality of armaments, while important, are supplemented by equally important evaluations of training, combat readiness, overseas military bases, defensive infrastructure and fortifications among many other assets considered.
Strategic and tactical nuclear capabilities, due to the extreme caution with which they must be deployed and states’ general refrain from using them, are considered a limited asset rather than the decisive game changer they would be if employed freely.
Nuclear powers are marked accordingly in the right hand column. Due to their highly secretive nature, biological warfare capabilities are not taken into consideration.
As well as ranking states numerically, military powers are also divided into six tiers based on the league in which their military capabilities lie.
Those countries in the same tier can be considered near peer competitors, although the kinds of strengths and capabilities they field can be entirely different.
Outstanding strengths of each country, if any, are listed below their names, as are links to further information for each country’s aerial, naval and ground warfare capabilities.
This is a screen shot of the interactive presentation of the top 60 countries in the world
Just a few decades ago, there was little to no distinction between automotive motor oil and motorcycle oil. These days, the two lubes are quite unique. What are the differences, and more importantly, what happens if you run car oil in your bike?
Motorcycle oils branched off from automotive oils in the 1980s as car oil evolved in a way that caused problems for motorcycles. Specifically, friction modifiers designed to improve fuel economy could cause a bike’s clutch to slip under acceleration.
For the most part, the “it’ll make your clutch slip” explanation is all you’ll hear when it comes to running car oil in a motorcycle. That’s not a guaranteed outcome, and frankly it’s just the tip of the iceberg. There are other differences that make auto oil unsuitable for motorcycles, and it has to do with the fact that bikes usually rev higher and run hotter than cars, and unlike autos where the oil only lubricates the engine, in many motorcycles the same oil serves the engine, clutch, and transmission.
Simon makes a decent point, but don’t throw the crowd out with the bathwater. Nothing is perfect. Millions of Brits needed a reason to show their mettle. Who organized it is not the main feature. We have to work with percentages. A huge crowd like this inspires tens of millions, perhaps hundreds of millions. Don’t make perfect be the enemy of pragmatics. ABN
Basic anthropology and the elite know it and believe they will win. Their winning is not a sure thing, but they have intentionally brought about the crisis, which shows they are confident. Unite the Kingdom is the right call. Unity is all we the plebs have. Musk surely has complex motives but I believe he really does want to save Western civilization. ABN
A 22-year-old wannabe professional gamer who lived with Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin gave cops incriminating text messages leading to his arrest.
Lance Twiggs turned over Tyler Robinson, who lived with him in a three-bedroom apartment in Saint George, Utah, Daily Mail can reveal.
Twiggs showed police texts from Robinson about stashing a gun linked to Wednesday’s shooting of the prominent conservative activist at Utah Valley University (UVU), a law enforcement affidavit said.
His identity was revealed as separate reports emerged from Fox and the New York Post which stated that Robinson was living with a ‘transgender partner’ who is co-operating with the investigation.
Lance Twiggs, who lived with Tyler Robinson in a three-bedroom apartment in Saint George, Utah, turned Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin over to police
It is unclear if Twiggs is the same person referenced in the reports and he has not been named in the affidavit. His grandfather, Jerry Twiggs, told Daily Mail that he was unable to comment on rumors that he is trans and that there was a transgender motive to Kirk’s murder.
‘I don’t want to comment on that. I’m not sure what his situation is exactly right now,’ he said, adding that he had never met Robinson.
Jerry also confirmed his grandson had been talking with the police, but that he had not spoken to him since.
Three Austrian nuns in their 80s have run away from the retirement home where they were placed and gone back to their former convent.
Sister Bernadette, 88, Sister Regina, 86, and Sister Rita, 82, are the last three nuns at the Kloster Goldenstein convent in Elsbethen, just outside Salzburg.
Sister Rita (L), Sister Regina (C) and Sister Bernadette were sent to a care home against their will in 2023
They regained access with the help of former students and a locksmith.
Church authorities are not happy – but the nuns are.
“I am so pleased to be home,” Sister Rita said. “I was always homesick at the care home. I am so happy and thankful to be back.”
The trio say they were taken out of the convent against their will in December 2023.
“We weren’t asked,” Sister Bernadette said. “We had the right to stay here until the end of our lives and that was broken.”
The nuns say they are determined to stay.
“Before I die in that old people’s home, I would rather go to a meadow and enter eternity that way,” said Sister Bernadette.
The West clings to its delusion of supremacy like a fading empire hoarding tarnished trophies.
It’s the same old playbook for them.
They spin a narrative, call it truth, and expect the world to bow.
They do this with everything. From marketing product sales, to politics.
To grasp the Middle East’s geopolitics, you have to understand this Western narrative framework.
“Terrorism” is always the villain, and the West, the gallant hero, swoops in to save the day.
There’s no reality where the resistance topples Israel and “wins” the Middle East.
That’s not how the script works.
The West demands its victory lap, claiming it tamed the savages and gifted the region peace.
The reality however, is that their grand experiment failed to become a hegemony so they need to wrap this up, and demote Israel to just another player integrated into the region’s control.
That’s the reality. That’s the outcome.
The Gulf states get this. They ditch the ego and pride and see the board for what it is. And they couldn’t care less what the region thinks of them.
Outcomes over optics.
Many on here don’t understand this. Frankly, they should not be involving themselves with geopolitics.
Just pay attention over your timeline. Anyone saying the Gulf states are an embarrassment or a humiliation over this Doha strike,
are the ones being played by the Western narrative. They care about the narrative of optics over the reality outcomes.
They care about shit like honor, integrity, glory when the stakes are far more substantial.
These people are like naive children.
They don’t just fall short when it comes to geopolitics. They often conduct themselves poorly in other domains within their life.
I see it in corporate very often.
Very easy to manipulate.
They become part of the means for people who shape outcomes.
