Sun, 41, and her husband, Chris Hu, 40, were hit with the new allegations in a superseding indictment filed in Brooklyn Federal Court Wednesday.
Sun, who was working as Cuomo’s deputy chief diversity officer in 2020, was coordinating an effort to buy personal protective equipment and ventilators from China at the start of the pandemic, when the U.S. was grappling with PPE shortages.
The Chinese government recommended several vendors, and Sun falsely added two companies to that list of recommendations, one run by a second cousin, the other by Hu, according to the indictment.
For the sake of urgency I’m going to talk in direct and bold terms about the targeting of Tulsi Gabbard. The IC system is attempting to remove her as a disruptive influence by using Iran as a wedge to get her out, but the issue they have with Director Gabbard has nothing to do with Iran.

The Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, Chairman Tom Cotton, the disassembled National Intelligence Council and a host of Intelligence Community embeds would like to see Gabbard removed. DC wants to see her removed because the traditional role of the DNI has been a willfully blind tool of the Intelligence Community; Gabbard is not that.
In the past few weeks, ever since she began intercepting the ICIG issues and using her own personnel to monitor the IC network, she has been targeted with several direct smear campaigns. It is obvious the targeting is coming from inside the intelligence apparatus, and perhaps even the orbit around/under CIA Director John Ratcliffe.
Tulsi Gabbard is rumored to be in Donald Trump‘s ‘line of fire’ as she has been sidelined ahead of a much-anticipated intelligence briefing to Congress to detail Trump’s recent strikes on Iran‘s nuclear facilities.
Now, the spy chief will be absent on Thursday as Trump officials offer Congress evidence of how successful the strikes were. Trump has angrily insisted CNN and The New York Times were wrong in saying they had minimal effect.
Gabbard was originally supposed to join members of Trump’s inner circle – CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth – in the briefing.
A person familiar with Gabbard’s schedule told the Associated Press said she was originally going to attend but no longer.
‘The media is turning this into something it’s not,’ a senior Trump administration official told The Washington Post, adding that Ratcliffe will represent the intelligence community.

This video provides a glimpse of Iran’s weaponry and how it has been used against Israel. During the current ceasefire, it is a sure thing that both Israel and Iran will rearm. Whether they continue fighting or not, this video shows that Iran does have serious military capabilities. Is it in their interests to keep fighting? I doubt it. My understanding is Iran is going to allow a GCC-led coalition to become the region’s collective hegemon. The world is on the verge of becoming 100X wealthier due to tech improvements. UPDATE: This talk provides good information about the US strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities and the consequences therefrom. To me, it seems clear Trump made the right move by taking out Iran’s main threat. Israel has no reason to keep fighting and neither does Iran. The deeper story that now the Gulf Cooperation Council and other countries in the region will form a collective hegemony over the Middle East should become more apparent in the weeks to come. We should see signs of this happening and signs that the Gaza slaughter will slow down, if not stop altogether. Trump played a strong Kill-Or-Be-Killed (KOBK) move which apparently killed few if any people, while destroying Iran’s main threat. In this sense, Iran was ‘killed’. Karmelo Anthony, the teen who has admitted to stabbing and killing a fellow high school athlete at a track meet in Texas, has been indicted by a grand jury with first-degree murder.
Fricso, Texas police have said the incident stemmed from Metcalf asking Anthony to leave his team tent since he didn’t go to the same school.
Anthony, 17 at the time of the killing and now 18, was arrested shortly after and charged by police with first degree murder in a case that has drawn national attention over race and privilege.
The head of the United Nations’ nuclear watchdog group revealed even more damage from the US airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear sites after taking a closer look — including possible chemical contamination at one facility.
International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) chief Rafael Grossi said Tuesday that the latest satellite images from the Fordow and Natanz facilities showed additional damage, beyond what the agency found in the first-pass review of the sites.
At Fordow, the mountain fortress just south of Tehran, officials identified additional strikes at the road leading up to the facility, as well as one of the entrances.

Ribvar Karimi, who served as an Iranian Army sniper from 2018 to 2021, was arrested in rural Alabama, where he has been living with his American wife.
When ICE agents found in him in the town of Locust Fork Sunday, he had an Islamic Republic of Iran Army identification card, DHS claimed.
Karimi entered the country legally on a K-1 visa, for foreigners engaged to be married to Americans, in October under the Biden administration.
He married his bride, Morgan Gardener, in January this year. However, Karimi failed to adjust his status, making his presence in the US illegal.
In Minnesota, agents nabbed Mehran Makari Saheli, 56, a former member of off the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps with admitted connections to Hezbollah, according to the Department of Homeland Security today.
He already had a conviction for felon in possession of a firearm and served 15 months in prison.

The U.S. Air Force has revealed new details regarding its first offensive operation against Iranian targets, Operation Midnight Hammer, which in the late hours of June 21 saw seven B-2 Spirit intercontinental range stealth bombers used to target the Fordow and Natanz nuclear facilities.
B-2s took of from Whiteman Air Force Base with a flight plan that indicated Guam was their destination, fuelling speculation that the aircraft were intended to be forward deployed to be able to generation sorties against Iranian targets more quickly.
This ruse appears to have been intended to reduce the possibility of Iran preparing its defences to intercept the targets.
Elaborating on the operation, and the support which the B-2s received from other American assets, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs General Dan Caine reported: “As the Operation Midnight Hammer Strike package entered Iranian airspace, the U.S. employed several deception tactics, including decoys, as the fourth-and fifth-generation aircraft pushed out in front of the strike package at high altitude and high speed, sweeping in front of the package for enemy fighters and surface-to-air missile threats.”
