Trump on sweeping ‘travel restrictions’ on visitors to USA

President Donald Trump has announced widespread bans and restrictions for visitors from 19 countries while simultaneously issuing a warning that Egypt could be next.

Nationals of Afghanistan, Chad, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Myanmar, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen will be barred from entering the United States under the new order, which goes into effect on June 9.

Citizens of Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan and Venezuela will be partially restricted from traveling, removing access to all immigrant visas and several non-immigrant travel options.

Trump also issued a warning that Egypt could soon join the no-fly list in the wake of the Colorado terror attack in which an Egyptian national who overstayed his visa allegedly set fire to pro-Israel demonstrators.

‘We don’t want ’em,’ Trump said bluntly in a video released shortly after the ban was announced.  

‘Very simply, we cannot have open migration from any country where we cannot safely and reliably vet and screen.’

I just finished speaking, by telephone, with President Vladimir Putin, of Russia. The call lasted approximately one hour and 15 minutes. We discussed the attack on Russia’s docked airplanes, by Ukraine, and also various other attacks that have been taking place by both sides. It was a good conversation, but not a conversation that will lead to immediate Peace. President Putin did say, and very strongly, that he will have to respond to the recent attack on the airfields. We also discussed Iran, and the fact that time is running out on Iran’s decision pertaining to nuclear weapons, which must be made quickly! I stated to President Putin that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon and, on this, I believe that we were in agreement. President Putin suggested that he will participate in the discussions with Iran and that he could, perhaps, be helpful in getting this brought to a rapid conclusion. It is my opinion that Iran has been slowwalking their decision on this very important matter, and we will need a definitive answer in a very short period of time!

After spending almost 6 years at #Palantir, I know something about what they do and what they don’t do. As a result, I want to address the inaccuracies in the 6/30 @nytimes article that’s been picked up by multiple outlets this week. 🧵 1/11

Plenty of people have valid criticisms of Palantir—I at times raised concerns while there, as the culture encourages. I believe in speaking up. I also believe in getting the facts right and straight. Criticize what you find problematic—but start with the truth. 3/11 

INACCURACY #1: The headline “Trump Taps Palantir to Compile Data on Americans” is fundamentally wrong. Palantir doesn’t do that. They provide software that helps organizations analyze data those organizations already possess.

Karp must be asked in public many times if he is a Jewish Supremist and/or if he completely disavows Jewish Supremacy. The personal information on all Americans he will have stewardship over at Palantir is crucial to our liberty and must not fall into the hands of a Jewish Supremist. Jewish Supremacy is a dangerous and violent cult with zero moral boundaries. No journalist who refuses to ask Karp these questions can be trusted. The term ‘far right’ in Europe, which Karp uses off-handedly, is a slur used to pejoratively describe center-right conservatives with a modicum of national awareness. Karp, I bet, supports a much further ‘far right’ in Israel and should be asked about that as well. With high office comes high responsibility. It is Karp’s duty to honestly disavow Jewish Supremacy on his own, whether he is asked or not. ABN

Sweden’s Gotland Island is becoming a NATO fortress to deter Russia

On a visit to Gotland late last month, Sweden’s Chief of Defence Staff and Vice Supreme Commander Carl-Johan Edström said his vision for Gotland as a future NATO hub and first line of defence against Russian aggression.

He also warned that the transatlantic security alliance ‘cannot take its eyes off Russia for the next 15 years’ and said that Gotland must be ready to ‘take a hit’ from Moscow’s forces and keep fighting. 

The importance of Gotland’s position is hard to overstate.

It sits just 120 miles from the Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania – all NATO members – and only 230 miles from Russia’s heavily militarised Kaliningrad exclave.

With Sweden now part of the transatlantic security alliance, Gotland offers allied nations an ideal base from which to surveil and deter Russian air and naval threats over the Baltic Sea, and – in wartime – provide air cover for NATO troops engaged in Europe while striking Russian-held positions.

Chinese couple were part of years-long plot to smuggle biological pathogen into US – even once snuck dangerous material in shoe

A Chinese researcher accused of plotting with her boyfriend to smuggle a weapon of ‘agroterrorism’ into the United States may have successfully hidden pathogens in her shoe on a previous trip.

University of Michigan postdoctoral fellow Yunqing Jian, 33, has been charged alongside Zunyong Liu, 34, for the sinister plot allegedly tied to the Chinese Communist Party.

Liu arrived in the United States from China in July 2024 carrying four small baggies of Fusarium graminearum – a product responsible for causing billions of dollars worth of damage to livestock, wheat, barley, maize and rice globally each year.

The duo have been charged with conspiracy, smuggling, making false statements and visa fraud.

In a horrifying twist, the criminal complaint reveals that Jian may have been successful in smuggling pathogens into the United States years earlier.

Trump NOT informed before Ukraine drone attack on Russia

This is believable and also other signs point to this — both Putin and Trump have been silent, Zelensky has been bragging, it was a cheap act in the grand scheme of things, an obvious attempt to derail peace negotiations. Only Zelensky and his handlers want the killing to continue. I will be surprised if Trump does not do something to Zelensky. ABN

Germany reveals plan for citizens if Russia attacks: Subway bunkers, food rationing, compulsory conscription and evacuations

Germany has updated its strict wartime measures for the first time since the Cold War as the country’s leaders prepare for the possibility of conflict by the end of the decade.

The Federal Government has presented shocking new changes that could see Germany return to compulsory conscription, the evacuation of citizens and food rationing if war breaks out on the continent.

In the event of war, Germany would also look to protect its civilian population by facilitating makeshift bunkers in the subway, preparing hospitals for a sudden spike in the number of patients and storing emergency food reserves in secret locations.

Wartime measures would also impose outright bans on people quitting their jobs in key sectors, forcing the media to publish updates and order companies to only produce goods for defence purposes.

In the worst case scenario, the government is prepared to ration and stockpile food to ensure civilians receive one hot meal per day while stockpiling water for firefighting purposes.

Putin has remained conspicuously silent on the drone attacks, and so has Trump. This indicates stuff is going on behind the scenes. I doubt Putin will go to war with Europe. He has nothing to gain by doing that. The notion that he wants to resurrect the SU is entirely false, absurd. ABN
