Connecticut State Police announced the arrest this week of a motorcyclist who, according to police, is the individual who built an online following under a pseudonym by posting to social media dozens of videos of himself speeding well above 150 mph and driving extremely aggressively.
Police identified the rider as Brice A. Bennett, 22, of Bloomfield. His arrest report says he had posted 72 videos on YouTube in 2024 using a pseudonym that was redacted from the report, but which was shared with CTNewsJunkie by a concerned citizen who had seen the videos. The screen name also exists on Instagram and Facebook where similar videos are posted. CTNewsJunkie has opted not to share the screen name because the accounts have large followings and appear to be monetized.
One of the YouTube videos shows the rider – whose face never appears in any of his videos – reaching 192 mph on I-91 northbound. Numerous other videos showed speeds above 150 mph in Connecticut and other states.

The Heritage Foundation released a database last Thursday allowing parents to identify classical schools in their area as an alternative to the deteriorating state of public education.
The Classical Schools Database features over 900 public and charter schools that are committed to “passing down the wisdom of past generations” and teaching students traditional liberal arts as opposed to much of the divisive and unnecessary topics found in many public schools. Parents are choosing to take their children out of publicly-funded education as school choice initiatives gain popularity throughout the country and as public schooling are becoming defined by plummeting test scores and an increased focus on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and gender ideology topics.
“Classical education is seeing a resurgence today, demonstrating that parents are looking for alternatives to assigned schools,” Jonathan Butcher, a senior research fellow in education policy for Heritage, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “We used to just use the word ‘education’ to describe what we now call ‘classical education’ because the skills of rhetoric, writing, and rigorous math have been lost in the traditional system. Given the poor academic results on national comparisons in reading and math among U.S. students, we need the new ‘classical’ education more than ever.”

The U.S. military will take control of a strip of federal land that spans three states along the southern border in an effort to stem illegal immigration, a memorandum Friday by President Donald Trump said.
The memorandum, “Military Mission for Sealing the Southern Border of the United States and Repelling Invasions,” directs the secretaries of Defense, Interior, Agriculture and Homeland Security “to provide for the use and jurisdiction by the Department of Defense over such Federal lands, including the Roosevelt Reservation and excluding Federal Indian Reservations, that are reasonably necessary to enable military activities.”
He wrote it could include “border-barrier construction and emplacement of detection and monitoring equipment.”
“Our southern border is under attack from a variety of threats,” Trump wrote in the memorandum. “The complexity of the current situation requires that our military take a more direct role in securing our southern border than in the recent past.”
The federal land, which consists of a narrow, 60-foot-deep strip at the border within the Roosevelt Reservation, would become a “military installation” designated as “National Defense Areas” where “military activities” would occur.

As the deadline set in a letter of impasse the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights had sent to Maine state officials two weeks ago drew down to its final hours, Maine Attorney General Aaron Frey’s office issued a response saying the state would neither sign a resolution agreement nor propose an alternative, setting into motion a referral to the U.S. Department of Justice.
“Nothing in Title IX or its implementing regulation prohibits schools from allowing transgender girls and women to participate on girls’ and women’s sports teams,” Maine Assistant Attorney General Sarah Forster wrote to the regional director of the U.S. DOE’s Office of Civil Rights. Her letter chided the federal agency for wrongly interpreting the statute and added that the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution also justified Maine’s policy — in direct defiance of the federal instruction.
That letter prompted a fast response from the DoE’s civil rights office:
“Accordingly, OCR has determined compliance cannot be secured by informal or voluntary means,” it wrote, adding: “OCR now refers this matter to the Department of Justice with a recommendation for appropriate proceedings to enforce all legally available remedies.”
The response to Maine’s attorney general went on to notify the state that it is “initiating administrative proceedings to suspend, terminate, defer final approval, and/or refuse to grant or continue Federal financial assistance to the MDOE.

Visiting the FDA on Friday, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. had several “off -the-cuff” remarks which stunned many staffers present, according to a POLITICO report.
The outlet obtained a transcript and audio of the speech where Kennedy claimed, “The Deep State is real. And it’s not, you know, just George Soros and Bill Gates and a bunch of nefarious individuals sitting together in a room and plotting the, you know, the destruction of humanity.”
The speech only became worse as he claimed, “‘every institution that’s created by human beings’ is inevitably captured by powerful interests.” Kennedy later added that “We want to break away from this so we can make our kids healthy.”
