I have written about the Trump Doctrine for several years; however, as we enter this critical inflection moment perhaps a revisit is worthwhile to consider.
What you will notice from President Trump’s responses to questions during foreign leader engagements is the unique nature of his honesty. In the most consequential of ways, President Trump is the most consequential foreign policy leader in generations. We forget that during Trump’s first term in office, the headlines about North and South Korea were not about conflict, but rather about the possibility of unification on the Korean peninsula.
President Trump executes a unique doctrine of sorts, where national security is achieved by leveraging U.S. economic power. It is a fundamental shift in approaching both allies and adversaries; summarized within the oft repeated phrase: “economic security is national security.”
The Trump Doctrine using economics to achieve national security objectives and global peace is a fundamental paradigm shift. Modern U.S. history provides no easy reference for the effective outcome.
President Trump doesn’t just represent an office or title, nor does he simply represent the majority of the American people; President Trump’s voice is the voice of every ordinary person, what the non-English speaking world defines as “simple people,” and he channels a global message from the majority to the top of the highest power structures.
[I highly recommend this article. It provides a clear summary of Trump’s politics and why they are the way they are; why he does what he does. ABN]
A top staffer of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) arrived at IRS headquarters on Thursday ahead of a planned audit announced by President Donald Trump.
Elojn Musk aide Kavin Kliger visited the DC offices of the IRS to examine its systems, according to the Wall Street Journal, which noted that Kliger has been working at the Office of Personnel Management.
Later in the day, Trump announced that DOGE would audit the nation’s tax collection agency.
“The Internal Revenue Service will be looked at like everybody else,” Trump told reporters during a White House press briefing.
“They’re doing a hell of a job. It’s an amazing job they’re doing,” Trump said of Musk and DOGE. “I call it the force of super-geniuses, but it’s building, and you know they go up, and they talk to some of the people about certain deals, and they get all tongue-tied because these people get it. They’re very smart people. We need smart people.”
Trump was responding to a question about Kliger’s visit to the IRS and whether the administration wants to close the agency – to which Trump said he did not expect that to be the case.
Taiwan Semiconductor, the biggest chip manufacturer in the world, is now in talks to partner with Intel to produce chips in the United States to avoid President Trump’s tariffs.
Taiwan’s President also encouraged Taiwanese companies to begin investing in America, “In light of President Trump’s concerns about our country’s semiconductor industry, the government will carefully respond and strengthen communication with the U.S. The government will also strengthen guidance and encourage Taiwanese companies to invest more in the United States.”
TARIFFS ARE WORKING, and they haven’t even been implemented yet.
This is lawyerese I can get behind. Habba rips DC politicians a new one. Clearly stated, savage takedown; just what we voted for and want. Looks like we are going to see real prosecutions coming from this. ABN
UPDATE: Terrific speech, right on the money. If Vance can keep this up and follow through with decisive action, I will be impressed. He’s an excellent rhetorician but in politics words only mean so much. Let’s see what happens. We have to closely watch every potential MAGA candidate who might take over after Trump. Vance is high on the list. He appears to not be another Mike Pence. Speaking of traitors, at least some of the main actors who threw open our border under Biden and lied about it need to be held accountable. Some of their crimes were as serious as they get. You were in charge of protecting but did the opposite and used citizens tax money to pay for your perfidy. Basically, you acted like a general in a foreign army at war with USA. ABN
Researchers have uncovered a new way that cells control their genes — and it may rewrite our understanding of “epigenetics.”
Epigenetics is a form of DNA modification that doesn’t affect the DNA sequence itself. Instead, it describes when chemical groups attach to specific genes, thus switching those genes on or off, or else changing the 3D shape of chromosomes.
Now, in a study published Jan. 17 in the journal Cell, researchers have uncovered a whole new method of gene regulation that involves epigenetic tweaks made to both DNA and its molecular cousin RNA, at the same time.
This discovery challenges the established view that these RNA- and DNA-modifying processes are completely separate, and it suggests that it may have broader implications in human biology and disease. To that end, Fuks and his team are trying to determine how this new mechanism relates to cancer.
I have refrained from posting this video because Leavitt seems to swerve away from the outrageous $.27t statement. But today I see Musk has confirmed it. ABN
There is no ballistic or photographic evidence to indicate that “Thomas Crooks/Max Yearick” (the shooter on the roof of the AGR bldg) took any shots at President Trump.
The evidence indicates the shots at Trump came from elsewhere. The crack thump measurements put the 2nd volley of 5 rounds about 135 yards from the podium.
A> None of the rooftop shooter’s rounds were recovered
B> His body wasn’t aiming at Trump
C> None of the evidence from the rooftop (brass casings, rifle, optics, backpack, remote control, phones, etc ) can be entered as evidence, since the crime scene was compromised
