FIML and autism-Asperger’s spectrum

After explaining the basics of FIML to a friend, he replied: “Oh, so just pretend you are autistic.”

It was a good joke with a good deal of truth to it. The reality is, though, that no one knows all that well what others are thinking unless they ask and are told honestly. When people rely too much on “normal” intuition in their primary relationships, far too much ambiguity develops. And from that ambiguity neuroses arise or perdure. Neuroses can entail either unsatisfying clinging to conventional semiotics or disturbing idiosyncratic interpretations of interpersonal behaviors. Both ways of dealing with ambiguity are based on mistaken interpretations, and both of them lead to suffering. I don’t see how a “normal” person can escape this without FIML any better than someone with Asperger’s or autism.

The New York Times had an article the other day on Asperger’s, Navigating Love and Autism. The article is worth reading in and of itself, but it works especially well for me because FIML training has shown me that Asperger’s problems, though they may be more of a certain type, are problems all people have. Asperger’s people may be less able rely on conventional emotional packaging than “normal” people, but in truth I don’t think anyone should rely too much on conventions in their private life. A “normal” person can more quickly achieve the illusion of intimacy and sharing and more easily maintain this illusion, but without FIML or something like it, it will remain an illusion. As the years go by, all of those ambiguities and wrongly shared assumptions will lead to lying, harmfulness, and suffering.

It may very well be that “normal” people have more to learn from Asperger’s people than the other way around. The couple in the article seem to have figured out a way to be together that relies on something similar to FIML–they know that they need to explain themselves to each other in ways that are anything but conventional. This frees them to see the wonder of their unique individuality and to share that with each other.

Scientists Reveal a Shocking Solution to The Chicken or Egg Paradox

Life on Earth may have developed the ability to form embryos even before it grew the very first animals.

A single-celled organism that lives burrowed in the muck beneath shallow seas bears a startling resemblance to animal embryos as it reproduces, says a team of scientists led by biochemist Marine Olivetta of the University of Geneva. The way it divides itself resembles the process of embryonic cell division.

The organism in question is an Ichthyosporean microbe called Chromosphaera perkinsii, and since it has been around for over a billion years, long before the first animals emerged, its existence suggests that life developed the programming for eggs before the eggs themselves.

“Although C. perkinsii is a unicellular species,” explains biochemist Omaya Dudin of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, “this behavior shows that multicellular coordination and differentiation processes are already present in the species, well before the first animals appeared on Earth.”

Piers Morgan, Dan Bilzerian, and Holocaust Denial — Ron Unz

…Because of the growing power of Internet video platforms and social media, the Israeli assault on Gaza had become the greatest televised massacre of helpless civilians in the history of the world, probably horrifying billions all across the globe. Meanwhile, the tight political control exercised by America’s Israel Lobby had kept our own government and mainstream media in lockstep support of those terrible atrocities, a situation that outraged large portions of our population and that in the rest of the world.

With so many millions now recognizing the blatant lies promoted by our establishment sources on the alleged Hamas atrocities, ranging from forty beheaded Israeli babies to babies baked in ovens to Hamas gang-rapes and sexual mutilations, many of these same individuals might naturally begin to also question the Holocaust atrocity stories they had been told for decades. Moreover, with the Holocaust being regularly employed to justify and excuse Israel’s current massacres, those strongly opposed to the latter events would develop a powerful psychological incentive to question and doubt the protecting narrative embodied in the former. For the first time, hundreds of millions of mainstream individuals around the world had acquired a strong personal motive to challenge the Holocaust narrative, an enormously fateful development.

During the past year, many of my articles on the Israel-Gaza conflict had closed by emphasizing that the Israeli government may have thus now unwittingly taken actions whose consequences they would eventually regret, opening doors that they would wish had been kept tightly shut.

Of course there is much more in this article than the small excerpt above, but the above is a central point. If you have wanted to speak on these subjects but never have, this is the best time ever to do so. The grotesquely skewed history of Jews as conventionally averred is the most devastating mind-control psyop in world history. Virtually all assaults on Western civilization, reason, history and law spring from that psyop. ABN

Now-deleted tweet reveals Mitch McConnell’s secret plot to derail Trump’s agenda in the Senate

Donald Trump‘s MAGA faithful were outraged after it was leaked that Mitch McConnell hatched a plot to stall his Cabinet nominations in the Senate.

The backlash began after a now-deleted tweet from New Yorker staff writer Jane Mayer claimed McConnell told colleagues ‘there will be no recess appointments’ for the president-elect’s cabinet members

‘Message to Trump Team: “There will be no recess appointments” Sen. Mitch McConnell said tonight at a Washington gathering,’ Mayer wrote on X at around 8 pm Sunday.

Trump has promised to use the strategy to overcome stonewalling during the Senate confirmation process when appointing people to senior administration positions.

He has demanded that the incoming GOP Senate leader back his use of recess appointments. McConnell recently stepped down from his position as GOP leader in the Senate and was replaced by South Dakota Senator John Thune.

Solzhenitsyn was the most famous living writer in the world until he started talking like this and wrote Two Hundred Years Together, a history of Jews in Russia. To this day, we still do not have a reliable English translation of that book because it has been suppressed by Jews. Isn’t that ridiculous? The great civilization of the West to this day still cannot speak or write openly about patently obvious historical facts, while at the same time we are forced, by law in Europe, to accept without question an obviously doctored history of Jews in Europe and Russia. Recent Jewish savagery in Israel may have broken that dam. ABN

We see what we are used to seeing; and interpret it as we are used to

A new study shows that what we see is often a distortion of what is really happening. A short article about that study provides a good overview: Altered images: New research shows that what we see is distorted by what we expect to see:

New research shows that humans “see” the actions of others not quite as they really are, but slightly distorted by their expectations.

The study is here: Perceptual teleology: expectations of action efficiency bias social perception.

I think it is fair to speculate that the conclusions of that study apply not just to visual information, but to all information. For example, much of what we consider to be psychological continuity is habit based on introspective deformities.

See Psychology as “signs of something else” for more on this topic.

UPDATE: FIML practice accurately identifies and corrects all kinds of mental, psychological, emotional, and perceptual distortions as they happen in real-world settings. Pretty much everyone knows distortions are happening but we do almost nothing about them. Instead of dealing with distortions and preventing them from snowballing, virtually all people everywhere rely on default stock strategies to retreat from them, a technique which itself engenders fear and helplessness in the face of real human interaction. I believe the absence of anything resembling FIML practice in world history is testament to widespread hierarchical sociopsychological dependence on what are essentially clichés. ABN

Putin’s warning on long-range missiles used against Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin said he had ‘clear eyes’ on what long-range missile deployment inside Ukraine really meant. Ukraine does not have the targeting systems or satellites to use long-range missiles for strikes into Russia.

If long-range missiles were used by Ukraine, they originate from the U.S-NATO and they are deployed with the targeting of U.S-NATO.  Vladimir Putin clearly stated that if such weapons were used, Russia will not pretend or ignore that this is direct provocative engagement by NATO against Russia.

Knowing this, the people around Joe Biden have just deployed exactly what Putin warned about.
