Clan vs individual

Centuries ago the Catholic Church destroyed clans across Europe and much good came from that. It freed people from tribal bonds and taught them to cooperate with strangers. The bad that came from that is today the West is overrun with clans and has no idea how to protect itself or even that it should protect itself. Westerners must understand the foes they are facing and deal with them appropriately. It is never a good idea to remain mired in an old morality that no longer applies. ABN

World Health Organization declares ultra-deadly monkeypox strain a public health emergency of international concern

The World Health Organization today declared an ultra-deadly strain of monkeypox a global public health emergency.

Officials said that an outbreak of the virus in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and its neighboring countries posed ‘international concern’ – the WHO’s highest level of alert.

The hope is to speed up research and accumulate more funding and public health measures to contain the virus, which is more infectious and several times deadlier than the one that caused the global outbreak in 2022.

No cases of the new strain have been reported in the US or the UK yet, but the American CDC is urging doctors to be extra vigilant for symptoms like skin rashes and lesions.

The virus is still spreading primarily through sex and is primarily affecting gay and bisexual men.

US Congress to investigate controversial Peru ‘alien’ mummies amid fears they could be linked to UFOs

Peru’s famous ‘alien mummies’ are set for the US, where Congress has pledged to crack the mysterious cases once and for all.

Republican Tim Burchett, known for his outspoken criticism of the US government’s UFO secrecy, vowed to assemble ‘the most important people in the world’ to examine the bodies, which some scientists claim harbor ’30 percent unknown’ DNA.

The congressman said he would initiate this new analysis at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in his home state.

The team at Tennessee have obtained half-a-million dollars from the Department of Justice late last year to better understand skeletal remains and ‘relic DNA.’

There’s an acidic zone 13,000 feet beneath the ocean surface — and it’s getting bigger

The carbonate compensation depth — a zone where high pressure and low temperature creates conditions so acidic it dissolves shell and skeleton — could make up half of the global ocean by the end of the century.

In the deepest parts of the ocean, below 13,100 feet (4,000 metres), the combination of high pressure and low temperature creates conditions that dissolve calcium carbonate, the material marine animals use to make their shells.

This zone is known as the carbonate compensation depth — and it is expanding.

This contrasts with the widely discussed ocean acidification of surface waters due to the ocean absorbing carbon dioxide from the burning of fossil fuels.

But the two are linked: because of rising concentrations of carbon dioxide in the ocean, its pH is decreasing (becoming more acidic), and the deep-sea area in which calcium carbonate dissolves is growing, from the seafloor up.

The transition zone within which calcium carbonate increasingly becomes chemically unstable and begins to dissolve is called the lysocline. Because the ocean seabed is relatively flat, even a rise of the lysocline by a few metres can rapidly lead to large under-saturated (acidic) areas.

Our research showed this zone has already risen by nearly 100 metres since pre-industrial times and will likely rise further by several hundreds of metres this century.

Millions of square kilometres of ocean floor will potentially undergo a rapid transition whereby calcareous sediment will become chemically unstable and dissolve.

We have a cancer emergency underway — Ethical Skeptic

Mind-control can be active as in UK where people are sentenced to prison for ‘offensive’ social media posts. And mind-control can be passive as in completely ignoring the cancer and other health problems caused by the covid vaxxes. No competent scientist or researcher can deny it except by lying or consciously looking the other way. Given the pressures so many healthcare workers are under, this is understandable to a point. I hope doctors and nurses henceforth will work on forming an unofficial, word-of-mouth grapevine that always tells the truth about what is really happening right before their eyes and is thus able to forestall future attempts to abuse them, the health industry and literally billions of human beings. EU Warns Musk Over ‘Harmful Content’ Ahead Of Trump Interview

The EU’s top digital official wrote to Elon Musk Monday to remind him of his legal duty to stop “harmful content” from spreading on X, hours before the tech billionaire interviews Donald Trump live on the platform.

“With great audience comes greater responsibility,” the bloc’s internal market commissioner Thierry Breton posted on X, along with the letter laying out Musk’s obligations to combat illegal content and disinformation under EU law.

The European Union has an ongoing probe into X, formerly Twitter, under its landmark Digital Services Act (DSA) which requires digital firms to effectively police online content to protect users from harm.

“The DSA obligations apply without exceptions or discrimination to the moderation of the whole user community and content of X (including yourself as a user with over 190 million followers),” Breton wrote to Musk.

Breton said the warning was motivated by the “risk of amplification of potentially harmful content in the EU,” citing Musk’s upcoming Trump interview, and also referencing his recent inflammatory comments about far-right riots in the United Kingdom.

“We are monitoring the potential risks in the EU associated with the dissemination of content that may incite violence, hate and racism in conjunction with major political — or societal — events around the world,” he wrote.

“My services and I will be extremely vigilant to any evidence that points to breaches of the DSA and will not hesitate to make full use of our toolbox, including by adopting interim measures, should it be warranted to protect EU citizens from serious harm,” Breton wrote.
