Newest NATO Country Escalates Prosecution Of Christians For Quoting The Bible

In an appeals court Thursday, Helsinki’s top prosecutor said publicly quoting the Bible and publishing a booklet about Christian sexual ethics violates Finland’s “hate speech” law. The appeal escalates this U.S. ally’s prosecution of dissidents from leftist politics, a marker of repressive regimes.

The prosecutor has charged Member of Parliament Paivi Rasanen and Bishop Juhana Pohjola for writing and publishing, respectively, a booklet supporting natural marriage.

“This [case] is a God-given wake up call for Christians and others worried about the direction our society is going,” Pohjola said in a post-court press conference Friday morning U.S. time. He noted convicting a religious leader for publishing theological documents would in effect criminalize Christianity in Finland and encourage similar oppression worldwide. 

Rasanen is also criminally charged with posting a Bible verse to X (formerly Twitter) and stating Christian theology in a radio interview. The prosecutor wants all recordings of the radio interview taken down and the booklet to be unavailable online, and fines levied against both Christians.

Good example of why hate speech laws are a disaster for free speech. Hate itself is not illegal. The idea of making an emotion illegal is absurd. When a state defines some kinds of hate as being illegal and some kinds of speech as hate speech, you get the Finnish nonsense above. How Do Vaccines Cause Autism?

One of the most challenging things for me throughout my time in the medical field has been watching children become neurologically damaged by vaccines, and the widespread blindness of the medical profession to this issue.  Unfortunately, because so much money has been spent to engineer the societal belief that vaccines do not cause autism, anyone that asserts otherwise is immediately subject to widespread ridicule, to the point it’s mostly a lost cause to convince medical professionals vaccines aren’t always safe. In many cases, the only thing that can open their eyes is their own child being severely injured.

The business of using propaganda (public relations or PR) has gradually evolved into a more and more streamlined formula that reuses the PR techniques found to be the most effective for manipulating the public.  Because of this, once the COVID-19 vaccine push started, those who already had firsthand experience with the PR techniques used to prop up the previous vaccinations immediately recognized that something bad was in the works.  More importantly, since the exact same vaccine PR scripts were reused to gaslight those with COVID-19 vaccine injuries, it led many to begin questioning the earlier scripts, like those used to debunk any link between vaccines and autism.

Proof of collusion between media and Biden’s controllers to hide WH corruption. We actually live in a country run in secret by a group of people no one can identify. And MSM never reports on that either. Biden is not president. He is an actor doing what he is told. It’s astonishing when you think about it—we actually have no idea who is in charge of USA. He is the one bringing alien military across the southern border in droves. Is Victoria Nuland top dog? She appears to have been leading the massacre of Ukrainian men and denuding of Ukrainian citizenry by driving them out of the country. Some say it’s Obama but I doubt it. It’s probably a small group. To me, it’s clear they hate USA and the West. That is clear as a bell. Most of us can see their actions and their baleful results but not knowing who they are almost makes their crimes invisible. New Chinese 10-Dash map sparks furor across Indo-Pacific: Vietnam, India, Philippines, Malaysia

Waves of anger spread across the South China Sea and India this week, following China’s publication of a new official map renewing its illegal claims to most of the sea and adding new claims along the Indian border.

China’s latest hegemonic behavior appears in the form of what it calls the “new standard” map, published by China’s Ministry of Natural Resources on August 28. The new map repeats the 9 Dash Line claims made by China and rejected by the United Nations’ Law of the Sea tribunal, while also claiming new territory around Taiwan and to Inda’s north. This comes days after President Xi Jinping declared at the latest BRIC summit that “hegemonism is not in China’s DNA.”

The biggest furor arose, unsurprisingly, with India, where China has unilaterally claimed two new areas, angering both India and Nepal. But India is not alone.

“Most of the contention seems to be that it claims Indian territory – Arunachal Pradesh and Aksai Chin – as Chinese territory, but it also claims some territory of Russia [Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island], as well as the entirety of the South China Sea and Taiwan,” Malcolm Davis, an Indo-Pacific expert at The Australian Strategic Policy Institute in Canberra.

US military plans to unleash thousands of autonomous war robots over next two years

The United States military plans to start using thousands of autonomous weapons systems in the next two years in a bid to counter China’s growing power, US Deputy Secretary of Defense Kathleen Hicks announced in a speech on Monday.

The so-called Replicator initiative aims to work with defense and other tech companies to produce high volumes of affordable systems for all branches of the military.

Military systems capable of various degrees of independent operation have become increasingly common over the past decade or so. But the scale and scope of the US announcement makes clear the future of conflict has changed: the age of warfighting robots is upon us.

An idea whose time has come

Over the past decade, there has been considerable development of advanced robotic systems for military purposes. Many of these have been based on modifying commercial technology, which itself has become more capable, cheaper and more widely available.

More recently, the focus has shifted onto experimenting with how to best use these in combat. Russia’s war in Ukraine has demonstrated that the technology is ready for real-world deployment.

Champion-level drone racing using deep reinforcement learning

First-person view (FPV) drone racing is a televised sport in which professional competitors pilot high-speed aircraft through a 3D circuit. Each pilot sees the environment from the perspective of their drone by means of video streamed from an onboard camera. Reaching the level of professional pilots with an autonomous drone is challenging because the robot needs to fly at its physical limits while estimating its speed and location in the circuit exclusively from onboard sensors1. Here we introduce Swift, an autonomous system that can race physical vehicles at the level of the human world champions. The system combines deep reinforcement learning (RL) in simulation with data collected in the physical world. Swift competed against three human champions, including the world champions of two international leagues, in real-world head-to-head races. Swift won several races against each of the human champions and demonstrated the fastest recorded race time. This work represents a milestone for mobile robotics and machine intelligence2, which may inspire the deployment of hybrid learning-based solutions in other physical systems.

Peterson on the demise of Canada and the West

Mildly of good analysis but leaves out that the decline of the West is not due only to the anarchic psychological vindictiveness of individuals. It is much more fundamentally the result of decades of organized infiltration into all major Western institutions. We are well past the mid-point of unrestricted war against the West through parasitic infiltration. Now that our institutions have been taken over, the battlefronts are chaos and complexity leading to civilizational collapse. Hatred of the host is the DNA of cultural parasitism. The infestation ends only when the host expires or succeeds in overcoming the parasite. The destiny of parasitic groups is different from the destiny of disturbed individuals. As the primary parasitic conquest grows and proliferates, other parasitic groups join in, as do many disturbed individuals, but their core goals are not the same. Peterson, who claims not to understand history, also fails to understand that we are facing an organized invasion. It’s not just many disturbed individuals acting anarchically. ABN

Trump on covid hype and fear-mongering

My understanding is Trump was forced into lockdowns and tricked on the vaxxes. Whatever the case, he sounds good now. His role in covid was played badly. Instead of getting out in front he should have established a means for doctors to openly and publicly discuss covid responses. Covid was his worst misstep but he has changed and I am sure he has learned. Politics is about what is possible in the moment and he is far and away our best candidate today. No one is perfect. I find it both wise and easy to forgive his early covid mistakes. ABN
