Brain-to-brain coupling: a mechanism for creating and sharing a social world
Cognition materializes in an interpersonal space. The emergence of complex behaviors requires the coordination of actions among individuals according to a shared set of rules. Despite the central role of other individuals in shaping one’s mind, most cognitive studies focus on processes that occur within a single individual. We call for a shift from a single-brain to a multi-brain frame of reference. We argue that in many cases the neural processes in one brain are coupled to the neural processes in another brain via the transmission of a signal through the environment. Brain-to-brain coupling constrains and shapes the actions of each individual in a social network, leading to complex joint behaviors that could not have emerged in isolation. (source)
Very much agree with this statement, which is the intro to a short scholarly opinion piece on interpersonal cognition.
The very basis of FIML practice is the interaction of two people. The FIML technique is designed to allow two people to become deeply aware of the (normally) elusive, idiosyncratic, and highly complex signaling mechanisms that are always functioning whenever they interact.
As partners become richly aware of this dynamic system, they will find they are able to change it for the better by removing mistakes and ambiguity. Mistakes and ambiguity are prominent—indeed, characterize—virtually all normal interpersonal communication. By largely removing these factors from their interpersonal communication, partners will experience significant improvements in communication, general awareness, and feelings of well-being.
The linked essay asks the following question: How to further develop principled methods to explore information transfer across two (or more) brains?
One answer is do FIML practice. Rather than study themselves from outside, FIML partners will study themselves as they are in all of their own unique complexity as uniquely “coupled brains.” In the terms of the linked paper, FIML practice is “brain-to-brain coupling” that leads to “complex joint behaviors” that cannot possibly “emerge in isolation.”
FIML practice provides a general “shared set of rules” that allows “complex behaviors” to “emerge” between two (or more) people. These “complex behaviors”, in turn, give partners the opportunity to control and transform how they “shape” their minds.

I am the former Director of the MIT Media Lab’s Digital Currency Initiative — Peter Girnus
I am the former Director of the MIT Media Lab’s Digital Currency Initiative.
In 2015, the Bitcoin Foundation went bankrupt.
The developers who maintained Bitcoin’s code needed to be paid.
Someone had to step in.
Jeffrey Epstein stepped in.
Through me.
He donated $525,000 to my initiative.
I used the money to hire the core developers.
Gavin Andresen.
Wladimir van der Laan.
Cory Fields.
The people who write Bitcoin’s code.
I emailed Jeffrey to thank him.
“This is a big win for us,” I said.
“Used gift funds to underwrite this which allowed us to move quickly and win this round. Thanks.”
That was 2015.
Jeffrey had been convicted in 2008.

Me on the outside vs me on the inside
This image was used on a social anxiety site to illustrate what it says. My take on it is virtually everyone in the world is like this if you expand social anxiety to mean inner confusion.

Under current worldwide social norms, inner confusion reigns because there is no way for individuals to communicate with profound authenticity, no way to connect on authentic levels. The closest most people can get is shared ideals, shared vows, shared beliefs, all mere pale shadows of true authenticity.
Those who lack profound authentic interpersonal communication must needs necessarily also lack authentic self-knowledge.
You cannot know thyself all alone.
You must be able to communicate it, communicate with it, interact with it to know it. And you must be able to do this with a knowing other who is doing the same with you. This is so because our psychologies are based on interpersonal communication. There is no other way.
FIML practice can correct virtually all interpersonal communication problems between two people. FIML optimizes interpersonal communication and by so doing optimizes self-knowledge as well.
Election theft video posted by Trump
__________
UPDATE: Trump had this video removed because a brief ‘offensive’ image of the Obamas appears at the end. The claim is that the video was posted by a junior staffer. The first part is worth viewing, and since Trump had it posted may indicate we will see real consequences for the crimes committed in the 2020 election, which the Obamas probably had a hand in. ABN
UPDATE2: Here’s the full vid from which a slice was inserted into Trump’s post above. ABN
Amelia vs Indian school counselor
__________
Videos like this are today’s political cartoons, which date back centuries. Carpetbaggers after the Civil War, big fat cigar-smoking Robber Barons, or the one below which was published in 1894. The EU wants to censor X over the likes of Amelia, who is hugely popular for a reason. ABN

Why Epstein files have not provided prosecutorial evidence of crime
The emails released so far haven’t provided any prosecutorial evidence for a crime.
Yes, I KNOW what they say. And yes, I KNOW what they mean. But none of this is enough to convict in court.
And that’s BY DESIGN.
You need to understand how the Epstein prosecution actually worked to understand what these files are actually about.
When Epstein was re-arrested in 2019, he was recharged with his crimes from 2001-2006. All the real evidence collected was in pursuit of THOSE crimes… from 2001-2006.
All these 2009-2019 emails released thus far are like 80% bullshit. The other 20% is showcasing networks and showing us the bare minimum required by law.
Does that make them useless?
No. Most definitely NOT.
The average normie knows more about the elite circles that rule our world than they ever have. That’s serious progress.
But you also need to read this nonprosecution agreement and really absorb the implications. Alex Acosta et al gave immunity to Epstein and ALL his associates, both named AND unnamed.
Yes I know Ghislaine Maxwell was still prosecuted, but you have to understand that her case is literally headed all the way to the Supreme Court over THIS nonprosecution agreement.
Don’t expect anyone else to be charged until that’s litigated.
Until then, keep on the pressure and use the court of public opinion to shame those who have yet to be held accountable.
