While Mainers suffer and schools fail, Mills has opted to reward her media allies with a taxpayer-funded ad campaign
The Mills Administration has taken the unusual step of channeling $117,300 in taxpayer dollars to the Maine Trust for Local News, the operator of Maine’s most sympathetic far-left content publishers.
These payments were not delivered in an envelope stuffed with cash at a smoky bar but via a no-bid contract, as disclosed on the state’s website. The details were discovered and reported exclusively by the Maine Wire’s Edward Tomic. In exchange for doling out taxpayer money, the Mills Administration receives what can only be described as paid applause for its education policies, a self-congratulatory attempt to convince readers that Maine’s low-ranking schools are actually thriving.
For those unfamiliar with their work (likely most Mainers), the Maine Trust for Local News (METLN) is a subsidiary of the National Trust for Local News. This nonprofit owns PressHerald.com, SunJournal.com, CentralMaine.com, and a handful of other outlets. Although the METLN initially promised transparency regarding the deep pockets who financed the purchase of the papers, they have not honored that promise. Mainers are left to wonder who now funds the majority of Maine’s newspapers — and why CEO & Publisher Lisa Desoto thinks that’s a secret worth keeping.
Lest there be any doubt, the financiers were George Soros, Hansjorg Wyss, and a handful of other left-wing mega donors. Meaning the Mills Administration has given taxpayer dollars to a nationwide leftist crusade to take over local news via the National Trust for Local News. The payoff no-bid contract amounts to a subsidy for the websites that have been most favorable to Mills during her gubernatorial tenure (excluding Maine Public, which we already knew was a sycophantic outlet for government propaganda).
The messaging app Telegram has said it will hand over users’ IP addresses and phone numbers to authorities who have search warrants or other valid legal requests.
The change to its terms of service and privacy policy “should discourage criminals”, CEO Pavel Durov said in a Telegram post on Monday.
“While 99.999% of Telegram users have nothing to do with crime, the 0.001% involved in illicit activities create a bad image for the entire platform, putting the interests of our almost billion users at risk,” he continued.
The announcement marks a significant reversal for Mr Durov, the platform’s Russian-born co-founder who was detained by French authorities last month at an airport just north of Paris.
“Telegram’s marketing as a platform that would resist government demands attracted people that wanted to feel safe sharing their political views in places like Russia, Belarus, and the Middle East,” Mr Scott-Railton said.
“Many are now scrutinizing Telegram’s announcement with a basic question in mind: does this mean the platform will start cooperating with authorities in repressive regimes?”
Telegram has not given much clarity on how the company will handle the demands from leaders of such regimes in the future, he added.
Cybersecurity experts say that while Telegram has removed some groups in the past, it has a far weaker system of moderating extremist and illegal content than competing social media companies and messenger apps.
Before the recent policy expansion, Telegram would only supply information on terror suspects, according to 404 Media.
It is a ‘self-amplifying mRNA vaccine, also known as an ‘sa-mRNA vaccine’, which properly is a ‘gene therapy injection’ and not really a vaccine.
A self-amplifying mRNA shot, as the name implies, contains the equipment needed to make more of itself once it enters cells. You do this by not only injecting the mRNA for the antigen of interest (such as one that encodes the coronavirus spike protein) but also mRNAs that get translated into replicase proteins that will in turn produce more of the mRNA species. Picture sending someone a sheet of paper with some important information on it, and then imagine that you’ve sent them a whole pile of copies of that sheet so they can distribute them. Now imagine sending them a bunch of sheets of material that can assemble themselves into a working photocopier and crank out more sheets when they do. That sounds weird and ridiculous, but hey, that’s biology for you. It’s very, very strange down there in the cell.
Long story short, it turns out that sa-mRNA vaccines are much like mRNA vaccines . . . only worse. Whereas the mRNA vaccines required you to keep returning to the doctor’s office every few months for another booster, the sa-mRNA vaccines will be self-amplifying. That means they’ll not only be hijacking your cells’ machinery to create whatever “protein of interest” Big Pharma wants, they’ll also create replicase proteins that will manufacture more of the mRNA that will make even more of that “protein of interest.”
For those of us who managed to avoid falling for the largest propaganda campaign in modern history and who recognize that the mRNA vaccine is itself a bioweapon that has already injured and/or killed vast numbers of people, this new sa-mRNA technology should be very concerning. Why? Because not only does it come with all the same dangers of regular mRNA vaccines, but it presents the additional risks associated with the random, uncontrolled self-amplification process.
I am filing this under both ‘medical science’ and ‘anti-science’ because the sa-mRNA platform does have medical promise, but is nowhere near safe enough to give to whole populations now. ABN

The U.S. Secret Service gave congressional investigators a briefing on the Trump assassination attempt by Ryan Routh at Trump National in Florida. According to Florida Representative Mike Waltz, who is a member of the committee investigating, apparently the U.S. Secret Service agent walked up on Routh from the fence line and saw the barrel of the SKS rifle. The proactive shots fired by the agent were from within 10 feet of Ryan Routh.
