Musk wants to figure out how lawmakers on Capitol Hill got “strangely wealthy” despite their comparatively modest public salaries.
Speaking at a town hall in Wisconsin Sunday night, Elon Musk suggested that his team at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) will investigate how certain members of Congress have achieved generational wealth.
One attendee at the town hall had asked Musk if DOGE had uncovered evidence of funds wired from the US Agency for International Development (USAID) to Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), Sen. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY).
“They’ll [the government] send the money overseas to one NGO [non-governmental organization], then they’ll go through a bunch of them, and then I’m highly confident that a bunch of that money then comes back to the United States and lands in the pockets of the people you just mentioned,” Musk replied.
“But it is a circuitous route. It doesn’t go directly, but let’s just say that there’s a lot of strangely wealthy members of Congress where I’m trying to connect the dots of, ‘How do they become rich?’”
State Auditor Matt Dunlap’s 2024 report shows a total lack of oversight for state spending and routine disregard for the rules pertaining to non-competitive contract awards
In a scathing audit of Maine’s 2024 spending, Maine’s Office of the State Auditor has revealed systemic financial mismanagement, cronyism-friendly contracting practices, and multiple material weaknesses across state agencies—leaving taxpayers exposed to legal risks, unnecessary costs, and outright corruption.
At the center of the audit’s most troubling findings is the state’s rampant abuse of the non-competitive bidding process. Maine’s centralized procurement agency, the Office of State Procurement Services (OSPS), was found to have routinely approved contracts without conducting required cost analyses, bypassing rules meant to safeguard public dollars. This raises serious red flags about favoritism, nepotism, and possible corruption within the process for handing out state and federal cash.
The competitive bidding process, which ensures that potentially large government contracts are awarded according to an open and transparent process, has been regularly circumvented in violation of state and federal law, according to State Auditor Matt Dunlap.
The result?
More than $2.1 billion in FY2024 contract payments were made under a system the audit describes as lacking basic supervisory oversight and controls.
I focus a bit on Maine because it is a microcosm of what happened in California, then Oregon, Washington and so on. In Maine we can watch the same lefty takeover we saw in CA and OR not that long ago — Soros money, rigged elections, wealthy liberals with second or third home in the state; its largest city already a broken and bloody nose, an ominous sign of what’s coming to the rest of the state. Somalian immigrants moved to Maine, create a quasi-NGO, bilked our welfare programs to the tune of $5 million per year and funded a Somalian militia.
One of them ran for President of Jubaland, Somalia in 2024. He lost and will likely return to the states to continue his mission of bilking American taxpayers to support Somalia.
Meanwhile, Gov J. Mills has created a new Office of New Americans to prioritize Maine taxpayer spending on foreigners who have never paid a dime in taxes. The new office is staffed with immigrants who admit their mission is to take tax money for their home countries while rejecting assimilation. https://x.com/TheMaineWire/status/1891926124319399937…
At the same time, Maine is unable to reimburse hospitals for Mainecare, causing the hospitals to lay off hundreds of workers, and our budget has increased by 57% ($7.2 billion to $11.3 billion) since Mills first invited the immigrants in 2019.
Donald Trump accused District Court Judge James Boasberg of trying to ‘usurp the power of the presidency’ while demanding the Supreme Court take action amid a high-stakes legal standoff.
Trump called Boasberg a ‘publicity hound’ in his latest attack on the judiciary after the judge halted his massive deportation of migrants with a temporary restraining order.
‘Judge James Boasberg is doing everything in his power to usurp the Power of the Presidency,’ he warned.
Trump mocked Boasberg as ‘a local, unknown Judge’ and added that he’s a ‘grandstander, looking for publicity.’
Boasberg on Thursday deemed a court filing from the administration ‘woefully insufficient’ because it was filed by a low-level staffer.
One day earlier, he hosted a contentious hearing with DOJ lawyers and said he wants to find out whether the government ‘deliberately flouted’ his order.
Roberts is up to his eyeballs in this as he is the one who appointed Boasberg to be the top FISA court judge and both knew the reason was to hide FBI spying on Trump’s first campaign and presidency. Much good may come of this because, ironically, neither judge has a shred of legal or moral standing. Their entire careers are irreparably stained by their malfeasance. ABN

John Roberts didn’t just go out of his way yesterday to trash Trump on a purely political matter—impeachment of corrupt judges—over which Roberts has no authority.
He did it by selectively leaking his statement to left-wing corporate media outlets, lying about its nature (claiming it was only in response to press inquiries rather than a general statement), and then refusing to provide the full statement to conservative media outlets when requested, including @FDRLST.
To date, no one knows the full extent of what Roberts and his taxpayer-funded PR agents have said, because no record of any statement from the court can be found anywhere on the Supreme Court website, a shocking breach of protocol and transparency.
Did the left-wing corporate media outlets hand-picked by Roberts to receive his political rant print it in full, or did they selectively quote it? It is impossible to know, because the Chief Justice is refusing to be transparent about what he said and who he said it to.
