According to Israeli officials, the planned US base along the Gaza border would house several thousand troops tasked with maintaining the cease-fire; the move signals Washington’s determination to deepen its involvement in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict
A Chinese diplomat has sparked a diplomatic firestorm in Japan over a statement widely seen as threatening toward Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, following her recent remarks on Taiwan.
The controversy erupted after Takaichi, who was sworn into office last month, told a parliamentary committee on Friday that a Chinese military blockade of Taiwan, which Beijing claims as its own, would likely create a “survival-threatening situation” for Japan—one that could force Tokyo to respond by deploying its Self-Defense Forces.
Xue Jian, the Chinese consul general in Osaka, fired back on social media platform X in a now-deleted post, which read: “That filthy neck that barged in on its own—I’ve got no choice to cut it off without a moment’s hesitation. Are you prepared for that?”

Central Asia is an important area historically and in the present. It was the home of the ancient Scythians, one of whom became the Buddha. In recent decades it was and maybe still is, conceptually, a major part of Zbigniew Brzezinski’s ‘Grand Chessboard’. ABN
Here’s the real signal beneath this entire South Korea deal, as seen through the lens of structural truth and reflexive macro coherence.
1. This is a sovereignty transaction.
What Trump just described reads like a tariff negotiation on the surface, but its structure is geopolitical ritual. The $350 billion “payment” and $600 billion “investment” figures are symbolic markers of submission and re-anchoring within the U.S. economic field.
South Korea sits at the intersection of three empires:
•The American defense umbrella (nuclear shield + market access) •The Chinese industrial engine (supply-chain integration) •The Japanese technological archipelago (semiconductors, robotics)
By declaring that Korea will pay America and invest in America simultaneously, Trump effectively rewrites Korea’s alignment contract: it’s no longer a semi-autonomous hub balancing between spheres – it’s re-absorbed as a tributary node of the U.S. energy-industrial network.
If we had only one of these video I would be less confident of the implication that Xi Jinping is no longer the leader of China.
But with two of them both showing Xi cowering and evasive, and in light of recent events in China (Xi’s top military brass all removed), it appears Xi is no longer in control and Trump knows it. ABN
A nothing-special speech but interesting for its surroundings and context. Trump has shown how much better a seasoned businessman can be than almost any politician anywhere in the world. He understands how things work and how to get things done better than your basic and all-too-common politician, who at best is nothing more than a professional talker talking about matter they hardly understand. I had a truly great meeting with President Xi of China. There is enormous respect between our two Countries, and that will only be enhanced with what just took place. We agreed on many things, with others, even of high importance, being very close to resolved. I was extremely honored by the fact that President Xi authorized China to begin the purchase of massive amounts of Soybeans, Sorghum, and other Farm products. Our Farmers will be very happy! In fact, as I said once before during my first Administration, Farmers should immediately go out and buy more land and larger tractors. I would like to thank President Xi for this! Additionally, China has agreed to continue the flow of Rare Earth, Critical Minerals, Magnets, etc., openly and freely. Very significantly, China has strongly stated that they will work diligently with us to stop the flow of Fentanyl into our Country. They will help us end the Fentanyl Crisis. China also agreed that they will begin the process of purchasing American Energy. In fact, a very large scale transaction may take place concerning the purchase of Oil and Gas from the Great State of Alaska. Chris Wright, Doug Burgum, and our respective Energy teams will be meeting to see if such an Energy Deal can be worked out. The agreements reached today will deliver Prosperity and Security to millions of Americans. After this Historic trip to Asia, I am now heading back to Washington, D.C. I want to thank the Great Countries of Malaysia, Japan, and South Korea for being so generous, gracious, and hospitable — Also, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, who were at the Dinner last night hosted by His Excellency Lee Jae Myung. Hundreds of Billions of Dollars are being brought into our Country because of them. Our Nation is Strong, Respected, and Admired Again and, THE BEST IS YET TO COME!
Many people around the world, including Japanese people, are unaware of this, but Japan’s supreme law is not the Constitution of Japan. Japan’s supreme law is the San Francisco Peace Treaty, which was signed under duress aboard the USS Missouri.
The San Francisco Peace Treaty is a treaty concluded between the Allied Powers and Japan on September 8, 1951, following World War II. On the surface, it is said to have ended the approximately seven-year occupation by GHQ, allowing Japan to regain independence as a sovereign nation. However, in reality, it was a treaty that ensured the U.S. military (DS) would continue to dominate Japan even after GHQ’s withdrawal.
As a result, all of Japan’s politics up to now have been decided by the U.S. military (DS).
And the entity that decides this is the Japan-U.S. Joint Committee.
In fact, former Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama testified: “Until I became prime minister, I thought all laws were decided in the Diet. But when I actually became prime minister, I was shocked to find that everything was decided at the Japan-U.S. Joint Committee at the New Sanno Hotel.” Trump is the first American president to promise to abolish that Japan-U.S. Joint Committee. For Japanese people who know the truth, Trump is like a god. He is working hard to liberate Japan from the DS.
USS Gerald R. Ford is joining the deployment of US Southern Command, Chief Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said on Friday.
The 1,090-ft vessel — which can carry more than 75 warplanes — moves as part of a carrier strike group that includes a cruiser, three destroyers and nine aircraft squadrons.
The USS Gerald R. Ford, the world’s largest aircraft carrier, seen in the North Sea during NATO Neptune Strike 2025 exercise on September 24, 2025 in the North Sea
It will ‘will enhance and augment existing capabilities to disrupt narcotics trafficking and degrade and dismantle’ the cartels, Parnell said in a statement.
The 100,000-ton warship joins the largest American force deployed to the Caribbean since the Cold War, including nuclear submarines, F-35 fighter jets, MQ-9 Reaper drones, P-8 Poseidon reconnaissance planes, and B-52 bombers.
The extraordinary deployment comes after Trump’s declaration that America is now in a ‘state of armed conflict’ with cartel forces, giving his commanders sweeping latitude to hunt traffickers beyond US waters.
China has installed a new floating barrier at Scarborough Shoal, according to satellite imagery, as tensions rise between Beijing and Manila over the disputed atoll in the South China Sea.
The barrier was seen blocking the entrance to the lagoon at the shoal in the image obtained by Satellogic, a geospatial company headquartered in Montevideo, Uruguay.
Tensions over Scarborough Shoal – known as Huangyan Island in China and Panatag Shoal in the Philippines – have intensified in recent months, with confrontations between their coastguards as well as warships.
That came a day after Manila said its coastguard aircraft had experienced “aggressive interference” from a Chinese helicopter and a J-16 fighter jet during a routine flight.
I have just concluded my telephone conversation with President Vladimir Putin, of Russia, and it was a very productive one. President Putin congratulated me and the United States on the Great Accomplishment of Peace in the Middle East, something that, he said, has been dreamed of for centuries. I actually believe that the Success in the Middle East will help in our negotiation in attaining an end to the War with Russia/Ukraine. President Putin thanked the First Lady, Melania, for her involvement with children. He was very appreciative, and said that this will continue. We also spent a great deal of time talking about Trade between Russia and the United States when the War with Ukraine is over. At the conclusion of the call, we agreed that there will be a meeting of our High Level Advisors, next week. The United States’ initial meetings will be led by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, together with various other people, to be designated. A meeting location is to be determined. President Putin and I will then meet in an agreed upon location, Budapest, Hungary, to see if we can bring this “inglorious” War, between Russia and Ukraine, to an end. President Zelenskyy and I will be meeting tomorrow, in the Oval Office, where we will discuss my conversation with President Putin, and much more. I believe great progress was made with today’s telephone conversation.
