The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf[2] (Arabic: مجلس التعاون لدول الخلیج), also known as the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC; Arabic: مجلس التعاون الخليجي), is a regional, intergovernmental, political, and economic union comprising Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.[3][4] The council’s main headquarters is located in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.[5] The Charter of the GCC was signed on 25 May 1981, formally establishing the institution.[6]
During the Arab Spring in 2012, Saudi Arabia proposed to transform the GCC into a “Gulf Union” with tighter economic, political and military coordination, a move considered to be intended to counterbalance Iranian influence in the region,[11] however objections were raised by other countries.[12][13] In 2014, Bahraini prime minister Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa said that current events in the region highlighted the importance of the proposal.[14] The Peninsula Shield Force is the military arm of the GCC, formed in 1984.[15]
Important to have some familiarity with the GCC because they are going to figure into Trump’s plans for Gaza. It is the GCC that will invest most of the money. ABN
UPDATE: Emerald seems to be one of the few prominent voices who understands that we are dealing with very formidable enemies who are living among us in disguise. And they are backed by powerful states with practicably unlimited resources. They work in secret and destroy as many talented people as they can while also doing everything they can to undermine our society. The results we see today which have been unfolding for many decades prove the point. A clandestine infiltration is typically never going to reveal itself by a smoking gun. But consider how far and how fast we have fallen; consider the border; consider the fentanyl deaths. ABN
The Trump administration is considering three potential areas for the absorption of refugee Gazans after President Donald Trump announced that the US plans to take over the Gaza Strip and relocate those currently there to rebuild the area, N12 reported on Wednesday.
According to the report, the areas being considered are Morocco, Puntland, and Somaliland.
The report noted that what these three countries share in common is a strong need for US support, as Somaliland and Puntland seek international recognition, and Morocco has an ongoing territorial dispute over Western Sahara.
– Trump wants to take control of Gaza when he could have handed Gaza over to Netanyahu on a silver platter. He didn’t. Because that would revitalise the conflict.
– Trump’s declaration of taking over Gaza practically means the GCC [Gulf Cooperation Council] will be spearheading the plan for Gaza with their sovereign wealth funds.
– The Trump family and other US factions, and Europe and even some Israelis, will have exposure to the GCC’s sovereign wealth funds. The return will be based on construction, stability, tourism.
– Everyone is lined up to get a return on investment. Except perhaps the hardline Israeli cabinet.
– Trump is insisting on Palestinians to leave Gaza. This is to appease the hardline Israeli cabinet and manage their expectations.
– Trump cannot be seen breaking character with Israel. He will remain as a staunch supporter to maintain and prohibit violations to the ceasefire agreement by the Israeli cabinet.
– Trumps insistence of displacing Palestinians is a call for the GCC to pull the trigger on a proposal.
– A proposal that will be unfavourable to Israel. Israel will be coerced to agree to this proposal just like it was coerced to agree to the ceasefire.
– As Trump increasingly pushes for the displacement of Palestinians, the International community is increasingly defending Palestinians to stay in Gaza. This is not by accident. This will be used to coerce Israel into accepting GCC’s proposal.
Panamanian President José Raúl Mulino said on Sunday afternoon that his country will be withdrawing from communist China’s predatory Belt and Road Initiative after meeting with Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Rubio’s trip comes as President Donald Trump has signaled that he is willing to use military power to retake control of the Panama Canal if the country does not regain complete control over the operations of the canal from China.
“One important thing, which is a decision I made and communicated to him, is that the 2017 memorandum of understanding on the Silk Road, part of the Belt and Road Initiative, will not be renewed by my government,” Mulino said. “That is a fact.”
Secretary of State Marco Rubio told Panama officials that Chinese influence over the Panama Canal must be curbed or the U.S. will take retaliatory actions, the State Department said Sunday.
Rubio said that it is also a violation of the treaty between the U.S. and Panama which defines the neutrality and operation of the canal.
“Secretary Rubio made clear that this status quo is unacceptable and that absent immediate changes, it would require the United States to take measures necessary to protect its rights under the Treaty,” Bruce said.
These are KOBK moves on Trump’s part. KOBK at his level of power is the ultimate rule, the ultimate game top leaders must play. Looking ahead, USA securing Canada and Greenland would benefit all three nations while also allowing USA to dominate the arctic. If USA doesn’t dominate the arctic, China or Russia will. It’s inevitable. A similar KOBK logic applies to the Panama Canal, and sadly to Trump siding with Israel’s wars. There is no way for any of us to know what Trump is taking into consideration. I suspect he is holding his nose on Israel and may have deeper plans than what we are seeing today. ABN
