I slightly paraphrased Alex’s words in the title for brevity, but I doubt he will mind. It’s an important point to understand. He also talks about the war and provocative statements coming from Ukraine. ABN

Hungary Will Continue Purchases of Oil and Gas from Russia, Zelenskyy and European Union Furious
…The polish government has collapsed under the pressure of Joe Biden and the NATO alliance. However, if you look closely at the $33 billion spending demand from the White House, it’s clear to see the U.S. State Dept, specifically those who are currently operating the proxy war along with the CIA, are positioning the funds for use as bribes to EU allies.
Any deal on Russian oil would require the consent of all 27 EU members, meaning it could not pass without Hungary and Slovakia’s approval. The bloc agreed on an embargo on Russian coal in the fifth package last month, while it has not yet ventured into gas.

Canadian General Trevor Cadieu captured at Azovstal by Russian forces
General Trevor Cadieu (Trevor John Cadieu), captured by Russian troops while trying to escape from the cellars of Azovstal, was the commander of the Canadian Ground Forces, APA reports citing Mailbd.
Seated in the catacombs under the Mariupol steel plant “Azovstal” nationalists staged a provocation, trying to hide the Canadian general’s attempt to escape. After the capture of a high-ranking foreign soldier by units of the RF Armed Forces, it became clear why so many efforts were made to save him.

Ukraine’s Army Is In Very Bad Shape – More Fighting Will Only Destroy It
The French news agency AFP has published a report by Daphne Rousseau from near the Ukrainian frontline. It allows us to gain some realistic view of the state of the Ukrainian armed forces.

Gonzalo Lira speculative analysis of Ukraine outcome
Consider this map of a possible future Ukraine, and let's take on the point of view of Putin, the Kremlin and Russia.
What would be Russia’s preferred outcome? What would they like to see three years from now?

Obviously, Russia wants to annex east and southern Ukraine, as per the map—and they will.
When they announced that residents of Kherson would be obliged to use rubles for their commerce, that’s as clear a signal as any as to their true long-term intentions: Full annexation.
The Russians will want a compliant, pacified rump-Ukraine.

EU Companies Agree to Gas for Roubles, Putin Warns West, Russia Claims Ukraine Defences Cracking
Unverified but credible. This image is appearing in many places today

Poland does have legitimate historical claims on that region, though they gave those up at the fall of the Soviet Union. But they gave those claims up to the government of Ukraine which is now a mess, so what to make of it today? This is a daring move for Poland and may cause the war to widen, which may be precisely what the NATO cabal wants. If Ukraine eventually is divvied up among its present neighbors, that is not necessarily a bad thing. Expanding the war today or risking an attack on Poland itself, however, does not look like a good idea to me. ABN
Shows our “elite” and Biden’s handlers are incompetent
Gonzalo Lira, with admirable brevity, on Ukraine war: “It’s over”
With Anthony Blinken suggesting that Ukraine and Russia should resume negotiations, the US is signaling that they know the war is lost.
NATO will NEVER get into this war, even if there’s a Ukraine provocation in Transnistria—because NATO knows it will lose to Russia.

So expect a lot of other international news—Iran, China, Solomon Islands, etc.—to start taking up the attention bandwidth.
The only play for the Biden administration at this point is to distract and divert, and make people forget about Ukraine.
2/3
You have to understand what Blinken and Lloyd Austin’s visit with Zelensky in “Kiev” (probably Poland) really was—
It was a kiss-off. It was the signal to the Zelensky regime that US/NATO will not supply heavy weapons or planes, and will not get into this war.
It’s over.

Ukraine War Expanding to Moldova as Ukraine’s Donbass Commanders Complain of ‘Desperate Situation’
Russian cruise missiles destroy six traction substations within the Ukrainian rail system, paralyzing electric train traffic (and thus, all rail traffic) in western Ukraine
…on the night of April 24th or the morning of the 25th, Russian cruise missiles destroyed a total of six traction substations within the Ukrainian rail system, paralyzing electric train traffic (and thus, all rail traffic) in western Ukraine.
Traction substations house transformers that take power from the grid and convert it to the voltage, amperage, and frequency needed to drive electric train motors through overhead lines or (more often) third rails.
As you can see from this map, the strikes were clearly intended to paralyze rail traffic throughout roughly the westernmost one-third of the Ukraine.
