The cartels are taking advantage of law enforcement weaknesses and policy failures to smuggle record amounts of the lethal drug into the United States, according to interviews with half a dozen current and former drug and immigration agents. While a lack of screening technology to find contraband at ports of entry and an inept U.S-Mexico campaign to cripple the cartels are longstanding issues, there’s also a new one: the flood of migrants across the border that the Biden administration has done little to stop.

Lung cancer patients, all found to be infected with the parasite toxoplasma gondii
Toxoplasma gondii, a microscopic parasite that gets inside our cells, is present in about 10 percent of the population in the U.K.
But in tests on lung cancer patients, all were found to be infected with the parasite.
“It’s a remarkable result which we don’t fully understand yet,” states Geoff Hide, Professor of Parasitology at the University of Salford. “It is possible that the presence of the parasite in these patients is exacerbating their symptoms of cancer or interfering with their therapy.”

Vitamin D Deficiency and Covid-19
Vitamin D deficiency is so widespread, and so predictive of bad health outcomes, that it has itself been called a pandemic by many scientists, even in the title of at least one peer-reviewed scientific paper1. Others have argued that widespread vitamin D deficiency may be a symptom, not a cause, of ill-health2. In A Hunter-Gatherer’s Guide to the 21st Century, Bret Weinstein and I contend that the rush to supplement with vitamin D is yet another example of reductionist, metric-heavy thinking that passes for modern medicine and science (excerpted here). Our broader point stands, including that we moderns are making matters worse with many of our lifestyle choices, such as spending too much time inside, and slathering ourselves with sunscreen when we do venture out. But with particular regard to whether WEIRDos3 ought to supplement with vitamin D, we (both Bret and I) now believe that we were wrong.

Aldosterone may help age-related hearing loss
Currently there is intriguing data that aldosterone supplementation may improve hearing. For those with hearing loss and balance disorders, this advancement could significantly improve quality of life. Aldosterone does not have the side effects of the current treatment with glucocorticoids (steroids) such as prednisone, prednisolone, and dexamethasone, and may better address the underlying cause of hearing and vestibular disease.

AAP, AACAP, CHA declare national emergency in children’s mental health
The AAP, American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) and Children’s Hospital Association have declared a national emergency in children’s mental health, citing the serious toll of the COVID-19 pandemic on top of existing challenges.
They are urging policymakers to take action swiftly to address the crisis.
“Young people have endured so much throughout this pandemic and while much of the attention is often placed on its physical health consequences, we cannot overlook the escalating mental health crisis facing our patients,” AAP President Lee Savio Beers, M.D., FAAP, said in a statement. “Today’s declaration is an urgent call to policymakers at all levels of government — we must treat this mental health crisis like the emergency it is.”

Psychedelics may be good for the heart and other organs
An emerging hypothesis suggests classic psychedelics, like DMT, ayahuasca, LSD, mescaline, peyote, or psilocybin, could have a positive impact on heart health that is remarkably long-lasting.
In early 2021, an analysis of the United States National Survey on Drug Use and Health found those who had tried a psychedelic at least once in their life had higher odds of greater self-reported overall health and lower odds of being overweight. What’s more, these respondents had lower odds of having a heart condition, like high blood pressure, in the past year.

List of Athlete Collapses and Deaths. And a bonus: small JAMA Cardiology study finds 2.3% incidence of myocarditis in 14 Big Ten University athletes

Here’s a list of healthy athletes having problems, I’ve just compiled from different places, I take no credit. This belongs to other anons out there. Please post any other higher profile athlete stories you find.
List of Athlete Collapses/Deaths •Literature:
In a study published online in May 2021 in JAMA Cardiology, Daniels et al investigated rates of COVID-19 myocarditis among 1,597 athletes from 13 of the 14 Big Ten universities. They observed an overall prevalence of 2.3%, with 9 cases of clinical myocarditis and 28 cases of subclinical myocarditis, categorized based on the presence of cardiac symptoms and findings on cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR).

•Former world No. 25 Jeremy Chardy says he has a “series of problems” after taking the COVID-19 vaccine and his 2021 season is over. This summer, 34-year-old Chardy decided to get vaccinated and it didn’t work out well for him. Chardy, now ranked at No. 73 in the world, claims he is unable to train and play. “Since I got my vaccine [between the Olympics and the US Open], I have a problem, I have a series of problems. As a result, I can’t train, I can’t play. Continued https://www.tennisworldusa.org/tennis/news/Tennis_Interviews/102836/jeremy-chardy-i-regret-getting-vaccinated-i-have-series-of-problems-now/

Ultimately, it’s important to keep in mind that this has never been about any one treatment. Imagine if along with making ivermectin cheap and available, our government had helped empower people to raise their vitamin D levels and exercise more rather than gaining a ton of weight over the pandemic. Imagine if our government had encouraged doctors to treat this early and often with a cocktail of several drugs plus made the monoclonal antibodies available for everyone the minute they came out, over one year ago, in addition to the successful nasal irrigation techniques using povidone-iodine sprays. Well, then the reduction in mortality would have been closer to 100%.
Vitamin D alone could have saved anyone who has gotten seriously ill recently, a year and a half after our government should have been encouraging people to take high-dose supplements. There are now at least 113 studies vouching for the correlation between high vitamin D levels and positive outcomes. The results of a recent systematic review and meta-analysis of eight vitamin D studies showed that the risk of COVID mortality for people with D levels at 50 ng/ml is close to zero.

Is There Plausible Basis For Fertility Concerns?
In my own community, the most prominent concern on the minds of many of the vaccine hesitant, especially young women of childbearing age, is the fear of an adverse effect on fertility. Possibly because of this, fertility concerns have also been derisively dismissed by the doctors with more passion and vengeance than for any other type of adverse effect being attributed to the vaccines. Thus, it seems to me that compiling a list of reasons to legitimately worry that these vaccines maybe negatively affect fertility is something that would be useful to people. What follows is a simplified, straightforward explanation in layman language of a few of the more reasonable arguments why these vaccines might affect fertility.

Psychedelics might reduce internalized shame and complex trauma symptoms in those with a history of childhood abuse
“There’s an abundance of clinical studies of the therapeutic effects of psychedelics, but few studies have examined the therapeutic potential of psychedelic use in naturalistic (non-clinical) settings,” said study author CJ Healy, a PhD student at The New School for Social Research.
“Most of the people in the world who are healing themselves with psychedelics are taking them in naturalistic settings — in nature, with friends, at home, at a rave — and so I wanted to study empirically whether this naturalistic, therapeutic use of psychedelics is also showing benefits in terms of symptom reduction and improvements in self-concept, particularly among people with histories of complex trauma in childhood.”
