Lithuania deports Cameroonian man despite protests over family separation

Lithuanian authorities on Wednesday deported a Cameroonian man who had lived in the country for nearly four years and started a family, despite protests from rights groups urging officials to halt the expulsion.

The State Border Guard Service confirmed to BNS that the man was escorted by three officers on a flight to Cameroon via Istanbul. His removal was financed with European Union funds.

“This year, there have been about 50 such cases to countries including Azerbaijan, Ivory Coast, India, Iraq, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. This is not the first such case of sending to Cameroon,” service spokesman Giedrius Mišutis said.

The NGO Sienos Grupė (Border Group) staged a protest outside the Migration Department in Vilnius, holding signs reading “Stop cowboy deportation”, “Human rights have no borders” and “Push dictators not refugees”. The group said the man lived in Lithuania with his Eritrean partner, who has refugee status, and their son, who was also granted refugee protection.

There is nothing stopping his family from going with him. Lithuania is a tiny country with a very small population. Loose immigration laws will destroy it beyond repair in two generations, if not less. ABN

ICE arrests 475 illegal Korean workers at Hyundai plant in Georgia

Many of the car workers arrested in a huge US workplace immigration raid had violated their visitor visas, officials say.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) said 475 people, mostly South Korean citizens – were found to be illegally working at a Hyundai battery plant in the state of Georgia on Thursday.

“People on short-term or recreational visas are not authorized to work in the US,” ICE said, adding that the raid was necessary to protect American jobs.

UPDATE on the day after: Hyundai claims the workers were not their employees but were employed by construction subcontractors. That sounds to me like Hyundai is dodging responsibility on a technicality. A major point of their building facilities in USA is to provide jobs for American citizens. ABN

Lithuania’s migration policy must be tightened

Lithuania’s migration policy must be tightened, Deividas Matulionis, the president’s chief national security advisor, said on Friday.

“Migration policy must be tightened in order to protect business, but at the same time to solve all the problems faced by society,” Matulionis told reporters after President Gitanas Nausėda’s meeting with Interior Minister Vladislav Kondratovič.

Kondratovič said that around 200,000 foreign nationals live in Lithuania, but their numbers have been declining, which is at least partly due to the stricter migration controls that have been implemented.

“We will not be relaxing those controls,” the minister said.

According to him, migration officials will cooperate more closely with higher education institutions to ensure foreign students are not enrolled in education fraudulently.

The politician also said that the ministry has recently made considerable efforts to consult with the foreign ministry and other institutions on which countries’ citizens would be culturally acceptable to Lithuania.

Important update from the families of Lola, Ruby and Mayah. This will be part 3 of my reporting on this incident. Finally we have concrete answers and definitive proof of what happened on Aug 23rd.

If you’ve followed my reporting on this incident you’ve gotten a very different story than what was originally told by the Scotland Police, by the migrants in question and by the media.

The claim by the Scotland Police was that CCTV footage which conveniently has now “gone missing”, proved that there were no crimes committed other than the “possession of offensive weapons” charge against Lola Moir.

We now have definitive proof that this is a lie and that the Scotland Police have been engaging in a cover up to protect the migrant and his sister from the crime of assaulting a minor. Attached is a screenshot of the hospital record proving that Ruby Moir sustained a serious head injury (concussion) as a result of the assault by “The Gypsy Gangster” Fatos Ali Dumana and his sister.

If you recall from my previous reporting, we described the vicious assault where the sister of the migrant violently attacked Ruby unprovoked, yanked her to the ground by her hair, then her and her brother “The Gypsy Gangster” proceeded to kick her head in while she lay defenceless on the ground. You’ll also recall that this is what motivated Lola to pull out the Knife and Hatchet to scare off the violent migrants and save her sister’s life.

Trump Admin updates Section 8 Housing to end ‘taxpayer-funded vacations’ for illegal aliens

Public housing agencies across the country are being asked to share the personal information of tenants receiving rental assistance under Section 8 with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), as federal authorities target immigrant families served by the program.

The move, according to HUD Secretary Scott Turner, will help make sure that what he called “illegal aliens”—foreign-born individuals without legal authorization or permission to stay in the U.S.—would not receive rental help over American citizens.

“D.C. Housing Authority is on notice—we are demanding all citizenship information for residents,” Turner wrote on X last weekend. “We are telling the same to the more than 3,000 Public Housing Authorities across the country. The taxpayer-funded vacation is over.”
