Intelligent men exhibit stronger commitment and lower hostility in romantic relationships
Men’s general intelligence is associated with better relationship investment and lower aversive behaviors, according to a study published in Personality and Individual Differences.
Past research shows that higher general intelligence (g) is associated with numerous positive life outcomes, such as academic success, better socioeconomic status, and lower likelihood of criminality. These studies also suggest that intelligence may play a role in romantic relationships. General intelligence has been linked to lower rates of divorce and higher chances of being married in mid-life, but the effects of intelligence on more nuanced relationship behaviors have not been as widely explored.
In their new study, Gavin S. Vance and colleagues examined how men’s intelligence related to behaviors such as partner-directed insults, sexual coercion, and relationship investment.
Their research builds on existing theories that intelligence could influence romantic relationship behaviors. Some past studies suggested that specific cognitive abilities, such as problem-solving and memory, can contribute to better conflict resolution between partners. For instance, people with strong working memory skills tend to recall their partner’s perspective during conflicts, helping to reduce the severity of relationship issues.
Working memory can be cultivated and improved. Memory is important in Buddhist mindfulness practice as well as in Buddhist ethical practices. Memory skills greatly enhance FIML practice. Some people are fundamentally more talented mnemonically, but most people can very effectively improve interpersonal skills when working with a compatible partner. Mindfulness when applied to interpersonal communication improves not only memory and communication skills, but also our understanding of how we actually are operating in the world. In a nutshell, morality boils down to internal subjective integrity — active use of our working memories, Buddhist mindfulness, and FIML all contribute to a wise understanding of what we are and why good ethics are of fundamental importance to that. If the DNA in the covid vaxxes gets into your stem cells, it can lead to cancer. If it gets into your ovaries or sperm it can lead to permanent, inheritable changes in your genome
Organ donation explained
If this is true, receiving a donated organ cannot be morally justified either. We know of savage organ harvesting abuses in China, Ukraine and Israel. But few know how sketchy the brain-dead claim is in USA. If there are important nuances to this, I am open to changing my views. Buddhists have long believed that death occurs long after cessation of breathing and recent research has shown this to be true. I removed myself from the organ donor registry some time ago. I believe some Buddhist say it is an act of generosity to donate organs and I do not doubt that, but if it is also a medical scam to cajole loved ones into agreeing to allow it, donating would also entail supporting that system.

How citizens should assess news & information and respond to lies & coercion based on it
If the government coerces you to take an untested vax, while loudly declaring it is ‘safe & effective’, don’t take the vax and do not believe the agencies or people who tried to coerce you. The covid vax was particularly pernicious because it had to be injected into your bloodstream and did not even fit the normal definition of a vaccine. When the government changes the definitions of vaccines, which they did for covid, or anything else, be very suspicious.
These principles are obvious and easy to understand and are a good basis for mass non-compliance and disbelief in government coercion and lies. All that is required is did they lie about something important or did they coerce us to do something dangerous, in violation of our inalienable rights.
The same can be applied to history. We know they lied about WMD in Iraq and we also know (and knew at the time) that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 — therefore, knowing this, we should suspect their motives for all wars past and present and future. Rather than go into many examples of this, I am going to assume readers know what they are.
As for history, if it is illegal or massively frowned upon to question any historical event, we should be sure to question it. We must not allow politicians to tell us our First Amendment rights are a threat to ‘our’ (meaning their) democracy as John Kerry has done recently and Jacinda Ardern and many others did during the plandemic.
On this basis, it behooves all of us to question the Holocaust. It is ludicrous to make questioning that subject illegal, as it is in most of Europe, or scandalous as it is in USA.
That’s all. Civil non-compliance based on simple rules and examples as given above allow all citizens to lend their voices to most subjects without necessarily agreeing on every aspect. This is the most important kind of power we the people have. Totalitarianism cannot take over our nations or remain in power where it already has taken over if a majority of citizens see the lies and do not agree or comply. This kind of power is made super-duper strong if citizens also know that others know and if all of us know we all know. ABN
Portland, Maine — Free food and rent is not enough
According to Larry Fink these ‘new Mainers’ will be a negative drag on Maine’s future. In a world of AI and robotics, which is fast arriving, low-skilled, low-IQ, uneducable or unassimilable workers will not do Maine (or any other state) any good at all. Moreover, we all know they have been flown into Portland at taxpayer expense for one reason and one reason only — to vote for Democrats. ABN

How Arabs view the West — Gad Saad
Thirty years ago a Chinese Buddhist nun who is a close friend was appalled at the laxity of American immigration policy. Thirty years ago she said, ‘You are just giving everything to them. You are giving your country away!’ She could not comprehend it or respect it. To her it was immoral to give so unwisely while also failing to protect your own people. Buddhism emphasizes wisdom in all things. ABN
