A second Democrat-run state has been hit by accusations of fraud within the Somali community, prompting a vile response from one lawmaker who was quizzed about it by a constituent.
As Minnesota grapples with one of the biggest fraud scandals in US history, a whistleblower in Maine has now stepped forward alleging state taxpayers have been defrauded out of funds meant for social services.
Christopher Bernardini told NewsNation he worked as a ‘billing guru’ for Portland-based Gateway Community Services for seven years until April 2025 – while they were allegedly defrauding Maine’s Medicaid program.
The company’s founder and CEO, Abdullahi Ali, is a Somali-American who ran for president of Jubaland, a state in Somalia, last year while juggling his role as executive director.
He came under fire at the time amid reports from The Maine Wire that he had boasted of funding the militia to ‘help the troops buy weapons, bullets and food’ while he was in America.
The comments sparked concerns about whether any of the $28.8million in payments his LLC received via MaineCare had been misappropriated.
The Daily Mail has contacted Gateway Community Services for comment.
Maine appears to be one of the most corrupt states in USA.
With a population of a mere 1.3 million, billion dollar plus fraud is major crime, with tendrils running throughout the state government.

If the story surrounding the J6 pipe bomber, Brian Cole, seemed suspicious this set of coincidences takes that suspicion to new levels of interesting.
According to the grandmother of suspected J6 pipe bomber Brian Cole Jr, he is a simple-minded man; an “autistic-like” 30-year-old who lived with his parents. “He would wear shorts all winter long, no matter how cold it was, he would be outside in shorts, walking — and he would wear red Crocs,” one longtime neighbor recalled. {SOURCE}
Brian Cole’s father is Brian Cole Sr. As noted by the Daily Wire, “Brian Cole, Jr. worked for a bail bonds company run by his father that worked to free illegal immigrants from ICE facilities and sued the Trump administration’s Department of Homeland Security.” {SOURCE} “Weeks before 30-year-old Cole Jr. allegedly planted pipe bombs at the headquarters of the Democrat and Republican parties on January 5, 2021, a court ruled against the company in its lawsuit attacking the Trump administration on immigration issues.”
Brian Cole Sr, operated bail bond companies in various states. Brian Cole Sr. accused a Rutherford County, Tennessee, Assistant District Attorney named John Zimmerman of racial persecution and asked the Biden DOJ to investigate after Zimmerman questioned the bail bond company’s business practice after the county suspended Cole from operating in a nearby district. Brian Cole Sr then hired, wait for it, Benjamin Crump to represent his interests.
Benjamin Crump is well known to this audience as the lawyer who represented the family of Trayvon Martin and the lawyer who fabricated a fake witness against George Zimmerman (unrelated to the Asst DA). Benjamin Crump has a history of manufacturing false witnesses based on racial cases.
In the Florida case, Ben Crump worked with Pam Bondi to advance the false witness claims [Rachel Jeantel, sold as Trayvon Martin’s girlfriend and ear-witness. She was neither.] As Florida AG, Pam Bondi knew Rachel Jeantel was a false witness but supported her friend Benjamin Crump in selling that story. [Evidence Here]
Now the legal representation of Ben Crump reappears in the DC pipe bomber story, having represented the father of the accused again using racial lawfare.
In the DC case, Pam Bondi is in charge of prosecuting Brian Cole Jr., who is claimed to be of easily manipulated simple mind, that seemingly carries a background motive of racial injustice against the interests of the father, Brian Cole Sr.
Put another way, Florida AG Pam Bondi previously helped her friend Ben Crump, a man of notorious racial manipulation, and now as U.S. AG Pam Bondi is prosecuting the son of Ben Crump client, Brian Cole Jr.

Anyone claiming that Enoch Burke hasn’t been sentenced to life for refusing to submit to gender ideology, but simply for “contempt of court” is dishonest. Here’s why:
Technically speaking contempt of court is indeed the ground the High Court used to lock him up, but this whole case is about him being a Christian teacher refusing to forsake his beliefs by calling students by the pronouns of a sex that they simply are not.
That was what he was fired for by the school. Wrongfully. And Mr. Burke’s refusal to accept the school’s decision and showing up to work anyway, makes him a hero with a backbone. It makes him someone who refuses to just stand by and let evil be done without putting up a fight. That’s why he keeps showing up and that’s why they are now locking him up till he stops doing that.
They want him to bow down, to submit to something he knows to be wrong. And they want the general public to be confused about what the legal grounds are for locking him up.
This shows you that just because something is “legally” justifiable, like the High Court’s decision to indefinitely imprison Burke, doesn’t meant that it’s right.
Burke should be freed this instance, and I hope the People of Ireland will fight for his cause.
To my eye, this is judicial intellectual corruption or usurpation of powers they do not legally possess. USA has similar problems. It’s always a chore to apply laws well, and discussion is often warranted, but authoritarian rulings that bastardize the law harm society for that reason alone, to say nothing about the many other evil ramifications of a grossly unfair ruling like this. Former employees allege Gateway Community Services systematically overbilled MaineCare (Medicaid) for services never provided, with falsified records and forged client signatures.
Despite prior audit findings that showed nearly $1M worth of erroneous billing by Gateway from 2015-2017, the Mills Administration continued awarding no-bid contracts to Gateway, totaling $3.3M since 2022, in addition to the continued flow of MaineCare money.
At the same time, Gateway leaders helped create the Community Organizing Alliance (COA) — a group dedicated to voter turnout in migrant communities aligned with Democratic Party goals.

The migrant agency accused of running a five-year MaineCare fraud has extensive ties to Maine Democrats, ties that have proven mutually beneficial for Gateway Community Services and Gov. Janet Mills.
Gateway Community Services, founded in 2014 by Somali-American refugee Abdullahi Ali, came under fire last week thanks to whistleblower allegations reported exclusively by The Robinson Report that detailed an elaborate effort to overbill Medicaid, known in Maine as MaineCare.
At the same time the alleged fraud was happening, the Mills Administration handed lucrative contracts to Ali’s company and related nonprofit, while Ali and a former employee were creating the Community Organizing Alliance (COA) to boost voting for Democrats in migrant neighborhoods.
Those contracts flowed from the Mills Administration to Gateway Community Services despite a 2018 audit that found Gateway had previously overbilled MaineCare from 2015 to 2017 for close to $1 million…
This appears to be the same sort of scam which has plagued Minnesota, California and elsewhere. Taxpayer money is funneled into a bogus ‘non-profit care’ organization, which then pockets the money or uses it for purposes not authorized but that benefit the Democrats who funneled the money in the first place.
