“The Department of Defense is re-evaluating our probationary workforce, consistent with the President’s initiative to reform the Federal workforce to maximize efficiency and productivity,” Darin Selnick, performing the duties of under secretary of defense for personnel and readiness, said in a Feb. 21 statement.
“We expect approximately 5,400 probationary workers will be released beginning next week as part of this initial effort, after which we will implement a hiring freeze while we conduct a further analysis of our personnel needs, complying as always with all applicable laws.”

Why Elbridge Colby Matters
Elbridge Colby is Donald Trump’s nominee to serve as under secretary of defense for policy, but Sen. Tom Cotton is thinking about derailing his nomination. Colby not only has the president’s support, he’s also been defended on social media by the leading pro-Trump voices, from Turning Point USA’s Charlie Kirk to Elon Musk and Vice President JD Vance. The Heritage Foundation has also called for the Senate to confirm Colby.
What makes Colby, who served faithfully in the first Trump administration as deputy assistant secretary of defense for strategy and force development, more objectionable to Cotton than Tulsi Gabbard or Robert F. Kennedy were? The Arkansas senator voted to confirm both of those ex-Democrats for higher offices than the one to which Colby has been nominated.
The answer, Cotton has indicated, is that he believes Colby is insufficiently fearful of Iran’s nuclear program. In 2010, Colby wrote a Foreign Policy essay arguing that Iran could be strategically contained even if it did develop a nuclear weapon, though Colby concluded, “containment is certainly not the best outcome—successfully preventing Iranian acquisition is.”

But now everyone assumes that we must have a federal income tax and a central bank in order to have a functioning society. Today, there are just a handful of nations that do not have an income tax, and more than 99 percent of the entire population of the globe lives in a country that has a central bank. Of course the two work hand in hand. A central bank creates a spiral of borrowing that is meant to be unbreakable, and an income tax is necessary to service payments on that debt spiral.
It is not a coincidence that a federal income tax and the Federal Reserve were both established in 1913. Since that time, we have piled up the biggest mountain of debt in the history of the world, and that is precisely the outcome that the system was designed to produce.

Kash Patel Orders 1,500 FBI Agents and Staff Out of the Building
FBI Director Kash Patel has ordered 1,500 staff and agents to be transferred from its Washington, DC, headquarters to various locations across the nation. Some 1,000 agents and staff will be reassigned to cities the Trump administration has designated higher crime locations where they can fight crime rather than engage in political shenanigans. Another 500 staff will be reassigned to Huntsville, Alabama, which is the DC equivalent of exile to Siberia.
This is Director Patel’s first step, and it shouldn’t come as a shock. He told us it was going to happen.
RFK issues two orders on vaccines in move that has disconcerted mainstream doctors
Robert F Kennedy Jr has pulled promotional ads for vaccines and postponed a meeting of key vaccine advisors, in one of his first moves as health secretary.
Kennedy ordered the CDC to scrub its digital ‘Wild to Mild’ flu vaccine campaign that juxtaposed a lion next to a kitten as an analogy for how the shot ‘tames’ the virus.
The campaign was a response to falling flu vaccination rates and an especially vicious flu season.
But Kennedy wants the CDC to move away from nudge tactics and focus its vaccine communications on ‘informed consent’ – which involves telling the patient the medical risks and benefits and letting them come to their own decision.
Meanwhile, the year’s first meeting of the CDC’s influential panel of vaccine experts has been delayed indefinitely, marking the first time the meeting has been postponed in over 40 years, except for during the emergency Covid pandemic.
The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) was due to meet next week to discuss its recommendations on shots for Covid, meningococcal virus, influenza, RSV, HPV, and monkeypox.
The orders, which come at the tail-end of Kennedy’s first week as Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, have sparked worry among some health professionals.

DOGE discovered $2 billion in taxpayer funds set aside for a fledgling nonprofit linked to perennial Georgia Democratic candidate Stacey Abrams.
The Environmental Protection Agency under the Biden administration awarded Power Forward Communities the grant in April 2024 as part of the agency’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund program. Power Forward Communities received the green energy grant despite the fact that it was founded months earlier in late 2023 and never managed anywhere near the grant’s dollar figure—it reported just $100 in total revenue during its first three months in operation, according to its latest tax filings.
Power Forward Communities’ grant was one of just eight Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund grants that the EPA doled out in April 2024 and that, altogether, totaled $20 billion. EPA administrator Lee Zeldin announced on Feb. 13 that his staff and Department of Government Efficiency officials discovered that the Biden administration parked that same $20 billion at an outside financial institution before leaving office, limiting the federal government’s oversight of the program.
The revelation that Power Forward Communities is among the beneficiaries of the funds Zeldin’s team located raises ethics questions about how the Biden administration selected recipients of such massive grants and whether it played favorites when doling those grants out. Abrams was a vocal proponent of the Biden administration’s green energy agenda and campaigned for former vice president Kamala Harris.

Last night, I reported on the conflict of interest that exists in that NY Governor Kathy Hochul has called for a meeting with @bradlander, the Democrat primary opponent of Eric Adams to discuss his removal from office.
In addition to inviting Brad Lander to the meeting, Hochul also invited Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, who is also a client of Authentic Campaigns, the consulting firm run by Judge Merchan’s daughter Loren.
Kathy Hochul, Brad Lander, and Hakeem Jeffries have collectively sent MILLIONS of dollars to the personal home residence of Loren Merchan, the head of Authentic Campaigns and the daughter of NY Judge Juan Merchan.

The right term is Jewish Supremacism. An honest, moral Jew or Israeli is not included in the danger of Jewish Supremacy. What are the ratios of one to the other? That is a separate question. The ratio is probably high enough that all Jews in power or who seek power should be morally required to disavow Jewish Supremacy in any form. Not sure how this affects the Jewish religion today, which is based on the ‘chosenness’ of ancient Israelites. But this should be discussed and openly addressed by all Jews in the world today insofar as their public actions may be affected by their reasoning on this. Trump signs bombshell executive order to make himself the most powerful president in history as he enacts controversial Constitutional theory
Donald Trump has signed an executive order that could make him the most powerful president in history by using an obscure Constitutional theory to enact his vision of presidential authority.
The new order seeks to ‘reign in independent agencies’ by seizing various departments that normally act in accordance with Congress and bring them under control of the executive branch in the White House.
The order also states that the president and attorney general will interpret the law, leaving Trump free from Congressional and judicial oversight.
Observers suggest that Trump is using unitary executive theory which grants the president a wide swath of authority.
The conservative theory argues that Article II of the U.S. Constitution, which delineates presidential powers, gives the president sole authority over all the executive branch’s officials and employees.
The unitary executive theory also claims the president has robust powers to override Congressional oversight on restrictions such as the ability to fire the heads of independent agencies.
Trump’s new executive order grants him power over various agencies such as The Federal Communications Commission, the Federal Trade Commission and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Trump’s first term proved the need for something like this. I support a strong presidency as long as Trump is in charge and as long as he does what needs to be done — clean the corruption, treason and woke rot out of the government. The NSA should already have detailed information on the gigantic parasite which has infested our government and nation. Whether Trump eradicates this parasite quietly or openly with fanfare, I do not care. I just want it gone. We live in an age of very rapid technological development. I believe it is best to face it straight on and use technology for the best as defined by American law and Western values. I trust Trump to be able to do this more than any other president in living memory. The choice before our nation today is do-or-die, as I see it. ABN
