French leftist theatre faces bankruptcy after opening its doors to 250 African migrants for a free show… and they refused to leave and remain in the building five weeks later

The Gaîté Lyrique theatre in Paris staged the conference, entitled Reinventing the welcome for refugees in France, on December 10.

It involved talks hosted by academics from top universities and Red Cross officials, and saw activists welcome in the migrants.

But when the conference was finished, the migrants refused to leave the venue.

Still occupied, the leftist theatre now faces going out of business after weeks without revenue from ticket sales, and has had to cancel all performances until at least January 24.

Its management said in a statement last week that the number of people taking shelter in the theatre is ‘continuing to increase’ and has swelled to around 300 people.

‘The sanitary conditions are deteriorating day after day and the teams are facing this situation alone,’ it said as it called for the local authorities to find a housing solution for the occupiers.

‘Although this occupation is forced, it is unthinkable for the Gaîté Lyrique to throw these people out onto the street in the middle of winter,’ the statement added.

Why EV giant with a contract for 100k USPS trucks has suddenly offered to convert them to gas

The company behind the United States Postal Service’s all-electric mail trucks has said it would be prepared to switch to gas vehicles.

Oshkosh Corp., which provides the so-called ‘Duck’ mail trucks, has said it is prepared to U-turn if USPS cuts back orders for EVs under the second Trump term.

Trump, who takes office on January 20, has long criticized funding brought in by the Biden administration to transition to an electric mail fleet.

President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) provided $3 billion over a decade for the Postal Service to become all-electric, including both trucks and charging stations.

USPS said in October last year that it plans to buy more than 100,000 mail trucks through 2028, of which at least 62 percent will be EVs.

Oshkosh has received its first order from USPS for 50,000 electric trucks, valued at $2.98 billion.

But John Pfeifer, CEO of Oshkosh, said the company would be prepared to make the switch back to gas if necessary.

House GOP crafts bill to let Trump purchase Greenland

House Republicans on Monday introduced a bill that would allow President-elect Trump to enter into negotiations with Denmark to acquire Greenland.

This is KOBK real-world game theory at work. Trump knows that taking Greenland is his best course of action because if he doesn’t take Greenland, Russia or China will and then one of them will control the global far North. The major ignored piece of why things happen the ways they do in this world is the KOBK imperative. It is at play in every major political act in the world. I am not a fan of KOBK or promoting KOBK. It’s simply the underlying reality of how power functions on this planet. One reason the West would do well to form an alliance with Russia is that alliance would be stronger than anyone else. The difficulty in forming that alliance, however, is many factions in the West hate Russia and want to ‘kill’ it, not unite with it. From a KOBK point of view, this makes sense. ABN

Tulsi Gabbard reportedly now supporting FISA Section 702 which allows spying on Americans without a warrant

Former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (Hawaii), President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for director of national intelligence, is changing her tune on a key intelligence-gathering authority she once sought to repeal as her Senate confirmation hangs in the balance.

Gabbard’s past criticisms of Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act have emerged as a central issue in her confirmation process, leaving GOP senators — including some in leadership — increasingly skeptical about the former Democrat’s confirmation prospects.

In her first public comments since being nominated, Gabbard told us in an exclusive statement that she now supports Section 702, saying the program is “crucial” and “must be safeguarded to protect our nation while ensuring the civil liberties of Americans.”

“If confirmed as DNI, I will uphold Americans’ Fourth Amendment rights while maintaining vital national security tools like Section 702 to ensure the safety and freedom of the American people,” Gabbard said.

In private meetings, senators are questioning Gabbard about legislation she introduced in 2020 that would repeal Section 702.

However, Gabbard now appears to be walking that back, citing Fourth Amendment protections implemented since then to prevent the incidental collection of Americans’ data:

“My prior concerns about FISA were based on insufficient protections for civil liberties, particularly regarding the FBI’s misuse of warrantless search powers on American citizens. Significant FISA reforms have been enacted since my time in Congress to address these issues.”

17,000 doctors oppose RFK becoming HHS Director

During covid only some 500 American doctors opposed the lockdowns, the banning of early treatments, forced hospital death protocols, Remdesivir, vax mandates, etc.

The vast majority of the 17,000, if not all of them, were silent during our worst health crisis. Many even actively supported the pseudo-science.

Therefore, there is every reason not to listen to them on this topic or any other public health topic.
