Doctor Who Discovered Omicron Was Pressured Not To Reveal It’s Mild

The doctor who discovered the Omicron Covid-19 strain, Angelique Coetzee, says that she was pressured by European governments not to reveal that it had mild presentation, according to an interview in Germany’s Welt.

When asked if it’s true, Coetzee replied: “I was told not to state publicly that it was a mild illness. I have been asked to refrain from making such statements and to say that it is a serious illness. I declined.” (translated).

“What does that mean?” replied Welt.

“I am a clinician and based on the clinical picture there are no indications that we are dealing with a very serious disease. The course is mostly mild. I’m not saying you won’t get sick if you’re mild.

“The definition of mild Covid-19 disease is clear, and it is a WHO definition: patients can be treated at home and oxygen or hospitalization is not required,” she said, adding: “A serious illness is one in which we see acute pulmonary respiratory infections: people need oxygen, maybe even artificial respiration. We saw that with Delta – but not with Omikron. So I said to people, “I can’t say it like that because it’s not what we’re seeing.”“

Joe Rogan: Maybe sorta half-OK reply to censorship advocates, maybe not

This is only maybe sorta OK because who even needs to defend this position by showing what was banned last year is accepted today? With that, you are already taking irrational advocates of censorship much too seriously. In this longer version of the clip above Rogan openly caves to an always dangerous “consensus of experts.” Propagandists and censors will always try to make you back up if they can’t outright shut you up and force a groveling apology. I do understand public life in USA is as full of corruption as it is of shit. Rogan has been compromised by this as so many are. He’s already teetering on a slippery slope while holding the weight of his huge paycheck and glorious public podium. Maybe he can work it out. His audience, including me, will give him many chances. Odds are, though, not good. The crowd he is trying to appease will only grow wilder and clamor for more blood. ABN

UPDATE: A great outcome would be for Joe to move to TRUTH Social if the woke heat becomes too intense. Be a smart move for him to begin negotiations now so he has real bargaining power. ABN

The Pressure Campaign on Spotify to Remove Joe Rogan Reveals the Religion of Liberals: Censorship

…Democrats are not only the dominant political faction in Washington, controlling the White House and both houses of Congress, but liberals in particular are clearly the hegemonic culture force in key institutions: media, academia and Hollywood. That is why it is a mistake to assume that we are near the end of their orgy of censorship and de-platforming victories. It is far more likely that we are much closer to the beginning than the end. The power to silence others is intoxicating. Once one gets a taste of its power, they rarely stop on their own.

…In modern-day American liberalism… censorship is a virtual religion. They simply cannot abide the idea that anyone who thinks differently or sees the world differently than they should be heard. That is why there is much more at stake in this campaign to have Rogan removed from Spotify than whether this extremely popular podcast host will continue to be heard there or on another platform. If liberals succeed in pressuring Spotify to abandon their most valuable commodity, it will mean nobody is safe from their petty-tyrant tactics. But if they fail, it can embolden other platforms to similarly defy these bullying tactics, keeping our discourse a bit more free for just awhile longer.

Always remember, CNN is the official “fake news” narrative engineering effort of the U.S. State Department.   The Washington Post pushes the Intelligence Community effort (CIA, etc.), and the New York Times push the FBI/DOJ (state police) effort.

Today in an effort to use Ukraine as a proxy state for war against Russia, the State Dept and CIA are claiming the Russians are amassing massive stockpiles of blood at the Ukraine border as they prepare for a protracted war.   In response the Ukraine government tells the Biden crew to knock it off with the nonsense.  This puts CNN journalists in Ukraine telling CNN journalists in the U.S. to stop telling ‘fake news’.

…For all its flaws, Gab’s saving grace is that it actually does what it claims: It says it is a free speech platform, and it is a free speech platform. Looking at these new “Right-wing Twitter alternatives,” none of them appear to have any intention of actually standing by free speech in any meaningful way.

You can forget about a new free speech platform coming from Donald Trump. Torba has recounted how Trump’s people reached out to him and said that Torba would have to change Gab’s terms of service to ban anti-Semitism if he wanted Trump to make Gab his new home base. Torba declined. It is also known that alt tech site Rumble changed its terms of service to ban anti-Semitism mere days before Trump’s endorsement of the site.

Trump has announced his own social media site, Truth Social, which is supposed to be launching in February, but given recent history, I think we all know what we can expect it to be like, and it is nothing to get one’s hopes up for.

I have high hopes for Trump’s Truth Social but fear it will censor too much. One way around that is to provide several levels of filters individual users can choose for themselves. A major part of being a word-using human is using words to describe and understand other humans. In our private lives this process should not be interfered with in any way among consenting adults. But today’s world includes many anonymous adults who may want to join discussions like that. It’s no good when some discussions are stopped and others are not as happens on all Big Tech platforms today, with the exception of Gab. The site the above article comes from, Unz.com, censors almost not at all and is refreshing for that reason. I would rather hear what people think than not. The more you see of disturbing intellectual content, the less disturbing it becomes because you also see the arguments against it. If something is true, no matter how disturbing, it should not be censored. At some point we have to grow out of the legacy media cage and the sense that alternative platforms are too far out. ABN
