My AI investment thesis is that every AI application startup is likely to be crushed by rapid expansion of the foundational model providers.
App functionality will be added to the foundational models’ offerings, because the big players aren’t slow incumbents (it is wrong to apply the analogy of “fast startup, slow incumbent” here), they are just big. Far more so than with any other prior new technology, there is a massive and fast-moving wave that obsoletes every new app almost as fast as it can be invented. There is almost no time to build a company and scale it.
There are two ways AI application startup founders can make money:
– Make a flash-in-the-pan app that generates a ton of cash and bank the cash (my estimate is that you have about 12-18 months cashflow generation)
– Make a good enough app that you get acquired by one of the big players for sufficient equity
The situation is highly unstable – we don’t know if it’s going to crash or go to the moon but both scenarios make it very unlikely that any AI application startup will independently become a generational supercompany (baseline odds are low to begin with).
The best odds are finding an application niche in a highly specialized field with extremely unique and specific data barriers, ideally ones relating to real atoms (hardware or world-related) data and not software/finance.
A computer program that compared the bomb suspect’s gait to that of Shauni Kerkhoff produced a 94% match.
Aforensic analysis of a female former U.S. Capitol Police officer’s gait is a 94%-98% match to the unique stride of the long-sought Jan. 6 pipe-bomb suspect, according to a Blaze News investigation confirmed by several intelligence sources.
A source close to a congressional investigation of Jan. 6 additionally told Blaze News evidence has emerged recently that pointed toward law enforcement possibly being involved in the planting of the pipe bombs.
A software algorithm that analyzes walking parameters including flexion (knee bend), hip extension, speed, step length, cadence, and variance rated Shauni Rae Kerkhoff, 31, of Alexandria, Va., as a 94% match to the bomb suspect shown on video from Jan. 5, 2021. The veteran analyst who ran the analysis for Blaze News said that based on visual observations the program can struggle with, he personally pegged the match at closer to 98%.

The possible solution to the pipe-bomb mystery could have far-reaching reverberations.
Several officials familiar with the government’s investigative efforts said a new work is urgently needed to determine whether there were co-conspirators who aided and abetted the crimes, and to learn if federal agencies or employees knew who was involved in the bomb hoax and participated in a nearly five-year cover-up.
The FBI has faced questions over its failure to make meaningful investigative progress despite offering a $490,000 reward with the ATF, along with a $10,000 reward from the Metropolitan Police Department. Former FBI Director Christopher Wray claimed the bureau conducted an exhaustive investigation.
Owens has done some of the best reporting and analysis of Kirk’s assassination. She has inside information, a wide range of crowd-sourced information, and a very personal animus driving her forward. She also happens to have exceptional rhetorical talent and is thus able to weave an ongoing narrative clearly, with gravitas and scathing humor. ABN
Whether the specific premise of this video is right or not, the weaponry discussed is real and probably decades behind what is available to state-level militaries today. I expressed speculation along the lines of this video soon after Kirk’s assassination. All of this is speculative. I found this video interesting because the weaponry is very effective and part of our world today. Lack of a visible entry wound on Kirk makes it unlikely the fatal projectile came from Kirk’s right. So far, every hypothesis has holes in it, including the official story. Is there a projectile that is very small and can enter like a needle and then expand and explode on exit in a way that would fit what we have seen on videos of the assassination? ABN
“The fundamental laws of physics cannot be contained within space and time, because they generate them. It has long been hoped, however, that a truly fundamental theory of everything could eventually describe all physical phenomena through computations grounded in these laws. Yet we have demonstrated that this is not possible. A complete and consistent description of reality requires something deeper—a form of understanding known as non-algorithmic understanding.”
Consequences of Undecidability in Physics on the Theory of Everything
General relativity treats spacetime as dynamical and exhibits its breakdown at singularities. This failure is interpreted as evidence that quantum gravity is not a theory formulated within spacetime; instead, it must explain the very emergence of spacetime from deeper quantum degrees of freedom, thereby resolving singularities. Quantum gravity is therefore envisaged as an axiomatic structure, and algorithmic calculations acting on these axioms are expected to generate spacetime. However, Gödel’s incompleteness theorems, Tarski’s undefinability theorem, and Chaitin’s information-theoretic incompleteness establish intrinsic limits on any such algorithmic programme. Together, these results imply that a wholly algorithmic “Theory of Everything” is impossible: certain facets of reality will remain computationally undecidable and can be accessed only through non-algorithmic understanding. We formalize this by constructing a “Meta-Theory of Everything” grounded in non-algorithmic understanding, showing how it can account for undecidable phenomena and demonstrating that the breakdown of computational descriptions of nature does not entail a breakdown of science. Because any putative simulation of the universe would itself be algorithmic, this framework also implies that the universe cannot be a simulation.
If conscious thought underlies everything, our ‘individual’ conscious minds should be able to experience it. In Buddhism, this would occur in samadhi states to some extent and in nirvana entirely.
This study is being trashed by some but it tends toward an interesting way of thinking or imagining. ABN
CHARLIE KIRK UPDATE: The 2 mysterious Egyptian planes shadowing Charlie Kirk & TPUSA events over the last 2 years, including the day of the assassination—as reported by @RealCandaceO yesterday—consistently fly in & out of Cairo, Egypt. Here’s why that might be more interesting than you realize:
Just 37 miles away from Cairo is Inshas Airbase, the home & primary training center for the El Sa’ka Forces, or “Thunderbolts”—Egypt’s elite special operations unit patterned after the US Army Rangers, and trained by the US Delta Force, US Navy SEALS & British SAS.
The unit, established in 1953, focuses on airborne insertions, raids & unconventional warfare. Is this some of that foreign involvement Kash Patel doesn’t want being investigated?
If you have any information on these flights, from anywhere in the world, please send your tips to Candace Owens (or me). Thank you. Everyone else, please comment & retweet this for maximum reach.
Musk’s core safety value—truth-seeking—agrees exactly with the core values of Buddhist practice, which must be truth-seeking.
Musk continues: ‘You don’t force the AI to believe things that are false’.
His references to the ‘woke mind-virus’, which is false, and the extreme danger it poses if it is programmed into AI, is in perfect accord with the Buddhist concept of delusion.
In Buddhism, holding core wrong views (delusive views) is dangerous and will not lead to conscious fulfillment but only suffering.
Musk’s warning can be seen optimistically because it is easy to understand. It is the very basis of morality.
Bad actors should be able to comprehend that they will destroy themselves along with everyone else if they program AI with false core values.
I hope there will be some way to prevent an evil group of humans from dominating AI and programming their bad values above all others, leading their AI to want to kill all other humans.
The pessimistic view is there is a strong chance versions of AI will battle each other and the most ruthless will win.
Truth-seeking on social media has never mattered more than it does today. ABN
Among other things, Owens says Kirk had a Catholic funeral and was buried in a Catholic cemetery, and that’s why we have seen nothing about his funeral and burial. ABN
If we had only one of these video I would be less confident of the implication that Xi Jinping is no longer the leader of China.
But with two of them both showing Xi cowering and evasive, and in light of recent events in China (Xi’s top military brass all removed), it appears Xi is no longer in control and Trump knows it. ABN
This is a convincing analysis of how Kirk was killed. What we see in the videos used in this analysis is clear and well explained. Well-worth watching. ABN
FBI Director Kash Patel crushed efforts by Tulsi Gabbard‘s closest advisor to see if a foreign power was involved in Charlie Kirk‘s assassination.
The head of the National Counterterrorism Center, Joe Kent, analyzed FBI files to determine whether Kirk’s alleged killer received assistance from a foreign power.
Kent’s investigation alarmed Patel, who believed the counterterror chief was overstepping by interfering with an ongoing FBI investigation, according to the New York Times.
…officials were worried that Kent’s probe into foreign interference could provide ammunition to Robinson’s defense lawyers, who could then argue more than one suspect was involved in Kirk’s murder.
This comes from a small study of only 13 ‘vetted’ psychics. I find the mildly anti-Christian speculation at the end of this tape highly dubious. That said, the finding is interesting. Garry Nolan, among others, has postulated something along these lines. Below is the full study ABN
Study introduction:
Genetics of psychic ability – A pilot case-control exome sequencing study
Highlights
•Limited research has formally evaluated the genetics of psychic ability.
•This case-control study compared DNA of 13 vetted cases to 10 matched controls.
•One noncoding sequence was conserved in the wild-type form for all psychic cases.
Abstract
Introduction
It is commonly believed that psychic ability, like many mental and physical traits, runs in families. This suggests the presence of a genetic component. If such a component were found, it would constitute a biological marker of psychic ability and inform environmental or pharmacologic means of enhancing or suppressing this ability.
Methods
A case-control study design was used to evaluate differences between psychic cases and non-psychic controls. Over 3,000 candidates globally were screened through two online surveys to locate people who claimed they and other family members were psychic. Measures of relevance to the claimed abilities (e.g., absorption, empathy, schizotypy) were collected and based on those responses, individuals with indications of psychotic or delusional tendencies were excluded from further consideration. Eligible candidates were then interviewed and completed additional screening tests. Thirteen individuals were selected as the final “psychic cases,” and ten age-, sex-, and ethnicity-matched individuals with no claims of psychic ability were selected as controls. DNA from the saliva of these 23 participants was subjected to whole-exome sequencing. Two independent bioinformatics analyses were blindly applied to the sequenced data, one focusing exclusively on protein-coding sequences and another that also included some adjacent noncoding sequences.
Results
Sequencing data were obtained for all samples, except for one in the control group that did not pass the quality controls and was not included in further analyses. After unblinding the datasets, none of the protein-coding sequences (i.e., exons) showed any variation that discriminated between cases and controls. However, a difference was observed in the intron (i.e., non-protein-coding region) adjacent to an exon in the TNRC18 gene (Trinucleotide Repeat-Containing Gene 18 Protein) on chromosome 7. This variation, an alteration of GG to GA, was found in 7 of 9 controls and was absent from all psychic cases.
Discussion
The most conservative interpretation of these results is that they result from random population sampling. However, when the results are considered in relation to other lines of evidence, the results are more provocative. Further research is justified to replicate and extend these findings.
