Free speech is among the most cherished rights we enjoy as Americans. This right, legally enshrined in our constitution, has set us apart as a beacon of freedom around the world. Even as we take action to reject censorship at home, we see troubling instances of foreign governments and foreign officials picking up the slack. In some instances, foreign officials have taken flagrant censorship actions against U.S. tech companies and U.S. citizens and residents when they have no authority to do so.
Today, I am announcing a new visa restriction policy that will apply to foreign nationals who are responsible for censorship of protected expression in the United States. It is unacceptable for foreign officials to issue or threaten arrest warrants on U.S. citizens or U.S. residents for social media posts on American platforms while physically present on U.S. soil. It is similarly unacceptable for foreign officials to demand that American tech platforms adopt global content moderation policies or engage in censorship activity that reaches beyond their authority and into the United States. We will not tolerate encroachments upon American sovereignty, especially when such encroachments undermine the exercise of our fundamental right to free speech.
This visa restriction policy is pursuant to Section 212(a)(3)(C) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, which authorizes the Secretary of State to render inadmissible any alien whose entry into the Unites States “would have potentially serious adverse foreign policy consequences for the United States.” Certain family members may also be covered by these restrictions.
Vladimir Putin accused Jews of attacking the Russian Orthodox Church and suggested that they lacked family and “roots,” the latest antisemitic statement from the Russian leader since his 2022 invasion of Ukraine.
Putin made the allegation during his lengthy annual press conference ahead of the New Year, which lasted four hours on Thursday. In the middle of of the event, Putin addressed punitive actions against the Russian Orthodox Church elsewhere in Europe. Putin said the church was “being tortured” — and blamed Jews.
“They’re tearing the church apart but they’re not even atheists,” Putin said. “These are people without any beliefs, godless people, they’re ethnic Jews, but has anyone seen them in a synagogue? I don’t think so.”
After adding that the alleged opponents of the church were also neither Orthodox Christian nor Muslim, he added, “These are people without kin or memory, with no roots. They don’t cherish what we cherish and the majority of the Ukrainian people cherish as well.”
UPDATE: I hope and believe Trump is striving to sideline Jewish Supremist fanatics through diplomacy with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and others in the region. If Trump and GCC are successful, Israel will no longer be able to goad USA into wars-for-Israel or by themselves seize control of the Middle East and establish their Greater Israel fantasy. Among many other things, on the 21st of that month, we were contacted by the FBI and informed that their department had “apprehended a suspect” in relation to a crime involving a threat against me, but that they were unable to provide any further details because the “investigation was ongoing”. We were obviously confused. How could the DOJ move to arrest and charge someone but keep the target of the crime in the dark regarding any details?

This is a very strong statement. I have posted many indications in the past few weeks that this is what was coming. Trump has risen above the fray to deal with actual cultural, economic and geographic realities of the region. This should wipe out Israel’s fanatical desire to be the region’s sole hegemon. Donald Trump is planning to pull another billion dollars in funding from Harvard, in the latest brutal blow to the Ivy League.
The White Housefroze more than $2.2 billion in funding to the school after it rejected demands from the government to reform its hiring, admissions, and teaching practices in order to help fight antisemitism on campus.
White House officials believed the long list of demands they sent Harvard on Friday was a private starting point for negotiations, and they were surprised when Harvard released a letter to the public hitting back.
The shock move by the Ivy League has prompted the Trump administration to be even more heavy-handed with its response, the officials told the WSJ.
Earlier this week, the Department of Education’s Joint Task Force to Combat Anti-Semitism announced the freeze of $2.2billion in multi-year grants and $60million in multi-year contract value to Harvard after it refused to comply with reform demands.
The department said that the school is not taking the problem of campus antisemitism seriously and must ‘commit to meaningful change if they wish to continue receiving taxpayer support.’
