Kennedy on US bioweapons and overseas labs

Most readers probably know what Kennedy is talking about, but it is well-worth repeating and emphasizing. I will add that this is a very difficult area because there is the deep logic that if we don’t do it others will. There is no single moral act or opinion that can be a bottom line on this. And this is especially true of bioweapons since labs are so easy to conceal. ABN

Obama and the ‘new apparatus of social control’

“I doubt that in the long run, Obama’s foreign-policy failures are going to be seen as the most important part of his legacy. I think future historians are going to look at the Obama presidency and see it as the moment when this new oligarchy merged with the Democratic Party and used the capacities of these new technologies and the power of this new class of people, the oligarchs and their servants, to create a new apparatus of social control. How far they can go with it, what the limits are … you see them trying to test it out every week or so.”  ~ David Samuels

Secret Chinese medical lab discovered in California

A secret Chinese medical laboratory replete with bioengineered mice and hazardous pathogens, including Covid, was discovered at a Reedley, California warehouse.

A joint effort between local and federal officials led to a months-long investigation into a warehouse situated in Fresno County, California. The warehouse was suspected of housing an unlawful and unpermitted laboratory filled with lab mice, medical waste, and dangerous substances.

The authorities were initially alerted to the situation in April due to an unlawfully connected garden hose at the building’s rear. The subsequent investigation unveiled a significant stockpile of unidentifiable chemicals, thousands of vials containing biohazardous substances, and a specially constructed room with approximately a thousand laboratory mice, of which 200 were found dead.

The array of pathogens discovered at the illegal facility is unsettling. As the MidValley Times reported, “From May 2 through May 4, the CDC’s Division of Select Agents and Toxins inspected 850 I Street. Court documents confirm the CDC found potentially infectious agents at the location. These included both bacterial and viral agents, including: chlamydia, E. Coli, streptococcus pneumonia, hepatitis B and C, herpes 1 and 5 and rubella. The CDC also found samples of malaria.”

‘Verified human’: Worldcoin users queue up for iris scans

LONDON/TOKYO/BENGALURU, July 25 (Reuters) – People around the world are getting their eyeballs scanned in exchange for a digital ID and the promise of free cryptocurrency, shrugging off concerns among privacy campaigners and data regulators.

Founded by Sam Altman, the CEO of ChatGPT developer OpenAI, the Worldcoin project says it aims to create a new “identity and financial network” and that its digital ID will allow users to, among other things, prove online that they are human, not a bot.

The project launched on Monday, with eyeball scans taking place in countries including Britain, Japan and India.

At a crypto conference in Tokyo, people on Tuesday queued in front of a gleaming silver globe flanked by placards stating: “Orbs are here.” Applicants lined up to have their irises scanned by the device, before waiting for the 25 free Worldcoin tokens the company says verified users can claim.

Users told Reuters they weighed concerns over data collection against their curiosity about the project, which says it has issued IDs for more than two million people in 120 countries, mostly during a trial period in the last two years.

Email I just sent to a friend who sent me this article:

In so many ways they already have us all identified and know where the hell we are all the time anyway. How can we escape this? I seriously doubt there’s anything you can do. I tend to see all of this in the context of, to use a simple term, the AI singularity, which may also include the alien singularity and the digital genetic evolutionary singularity where humans are raised out of body and have IQs three times what we have today and maybe even more with computer brain connections

It is my fairly well considered opinion, which I am always open on, that pretty much everything we are concerned with today like race, nationality, true or false history, psychology, sociology, and on and on, every topic, everything we think about is going to be massively subsumed by the indeterminable singularity that is looming down on us and doesn’t seem too far away at all. As mentioned, this great inflection point will entail a meeting of many disparate and complex forces making it impossible to predict. Maybe I’m just an incorrigible optimist, but there are many possible outcomes from this that are good and we would probably like. One factor that I think is very important is generally speaking highly intelligent people are more moral. I know that there are many exceptions to this, but if we have a planet where average IQ s are 300 or more, it will not be the case that the vulgar crude visceral and disgusting energies that guide so much of the world today will be guiding that world. In addition to this factor, there is great possibility that world wide wealth will increase as much or more than IQ ‘s. This will mean there is even less reason for people to struggle and wrangle over status and wealth and other pomposities (ABN)

Get ready for AI BABIES: New tech is boosting success rate of IVF abroad – and it could be available in the US ‘very soon’

Artificial intelligence technology can now single out the most promising embryo during IVF and boost the chance of pregnancy.

The AI tech is already in use across Europe, Asia, and South America, and could be in the US ‘very soon’, according to the Tel Aviv-based firm that pioneered the tech in Israel.

The software detects the most viable embryos by scoring them based on features that correlate to different outcomes, such as genetic abnormalities or implantation, that can’t be seen with the human eye. Clinics using the algorithm have reported a 30 percent increase in IVF success rates.

Twitter’s rate limiting is not what everyone is thinking it is. It is not to punish non-paying users

Some people asked me to share what I just shared in a space about the rate limits. I don’t work for Twitter but, I do architect IT cloud solutions as my day job.

It is temporary. Twitter’s rate limiting is not what everyone is thinking it is. It is not to punish non-paying users.

“Data scraping” is a big deal. This is where automated systems load the website or app and pull your tweets/data. It’s a huge security issue. Automated systems are pulling every tweet/word/user account information to store in an unknown database somewhere else.

This could be state actors like China, the US Government, Australia, or other bad political actors like PAC’s that are trying to gain access to everyone’s information to analyze and use for nefarious things. Manipulating what is said on the site can be done at scale with data scrapping.

It could also be used to figure out the identity of Anons or to punish people in their country for what they tweet. Looking at you #Australia and #Canada and #UnitedKingdom

The temporary measures of limiting tweets is to protect users just as much as it is to protect the entire Twitter network from going down. They are currently scrambling to get ahead of this and tune their network security to block it from happening again.

US, Dutch set to hit China’s chipmakers with one-two punch

June 29 (Reuters) – The United States and the Netherlands are set to deliver a one-two punch to China’s chipmakers this summer by further restricting sales of chipmaking equipment, part of the countries’ ongoing effort to prevent their technology from being used to strengthen China’s military.

While the Dutch are planning to curb certain equipment from national champion ASML, and other companies, the U.S. is expected to go one step further and use its long reach to withhold even more Dutch equipment from specific Chinese fabs.

The truth behind the Green Monkey story

Summary

The production methods of Pfizer and Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccines have been thrown into the spotlight due to the discovery of DNA contaminants in the vaccine vials by genomic scientist Kevin McKernan. The DNA found was not only considerable in quantity but also protected by the lipid nanoparticles used for mRNA delivery, implying potential delivery into human cells.

Additionally, a promoter from the SV40 virus, undisclosed in initial vaccine data, was found within the DNA. The presence of this promoter has raised serious questions about the oversight and regulatory processes in vaccine manufacturing. Despite the speed and economic advantages associated with mRNA vaccine technology, concerns around DNA contamination underline the importance of rigorous safety checks.

Introduction

This report aims to shed light on the actual implications of McKernan’s findings of DNA contaminants in the vaccines, exploring the nature and potential impact of the DNA contaminants in the vaccines. It also delves into concerns over the lax regulatory oversight and the potential risks posed by DNA contamination for future RNA vaccines.

Background

Synthetic mRNA forms the backbone of Pfizer and Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccines. The mRNA was produced in a cell free environment in a laboratory where a DNA template was used with a cocktail of enzymes and nucleic acid building blocks to produce the mRNA. The DNA template was originally created in bacteria.

As well as a nucleus, bacteria have circular strands of DNA, called plasmids, in their cytoplasm. It is relatively easy to introduce DNA into the cytoplasm of bacteria. The bacteria use the DNA to make mRNA and then use that to make protein. Bacteria regularly exchange these plasmids, or parts of them and that is often how bacteria become antibiotic resistant. Researchers hijack this system to use bacteria to make what they need.

Toyota Claims Solid State Battery Breakthrough That Will Give EVs 932 Mile Range

The next iteration in the world of electric vehicles is getting closer…at least, if Toyota’s claims are accurate.

The legacy automaker is now claiming it has “found a technological breakthrough that will allow it to bring solid state batteries to market as early as 2027,” according to PC Mag.

Chief Technology Officer Hiroki Nakajima said this week: “We found quality material. We’ll keep up with the rest of the world and definitely put it to practical use.”

As Samsung notes, a solid state battery “has higher energy density than a Li-ion battery that uses liquid electrolyte solution. It doesn’t have a risk of explosion or fire, so there is no need to have components for safety, thus saving more space. Then we have more space to put more active materials which increase battery capacity in the battery.”
