A Chinese drug-maker is reporting positive test results for its COVID pill. Early data from trials in Brazil appear promising, while more information is expected in the coming month. CGTN reporter Chen Tong reports from the company’s headquarters in Jiangsu Province.
Suzhou-based Kintor Pharma started to develop the drug shortly after the initial outbreak last year. Proxalutamide is the only small-molecule oral drug which has entered the phase III multi-regional clinical trial for treating COVID-19 inpatients.
