(1) The “what?” part is that today Florida Governor Ron DeSantis aligned himself with The Club. McConnell, Haley, Pence, Noem and DeSantis all part of the cocktail donor group, the R-Club, the right wing of the uniparty.
Timing matters….
(2) Timing matters because this is the year when the RNC, the mechanism of the R-Club, meets after the mid-term election and establishes the rules for the 2024 presidential election.
Most casual political observers do not follow closely.
(3) As a result, before the winter 2022 meeting of the rules, the political alignments of the individual members who will position to use the Club must be determined.
Each candidate makes their choice this year.
(4) The club insiders, mostly influential donors who control political outcomes, then establish the roadmap for the next general election based on their overall selected candidate(s).
Those selected candidates are what we call the "insiders", or party candidates.
(5) The actual party map for 2024 is drawn out *after* the 2022 midterms. The map includes the timing of primary election dates, the sequence of states for the primary, and other factors (winner take all vs proportional, etc) to lay the groundwork for the insider candidates.
(6) Everything is gamed-out, and other candidates are then approached to participate in the process. Those other candidates are carefully selected, then funded to enter the race to split, modify or adjust the state vote according to the insider Club strategy.
(7) Any candidate running for 2024 POTUS knows this game, knows this insider Club process, but may not know the actual Club rules and Club map because the details are not decided until after the midterm.
(8) This phase we are in right now is the Club vetting phase. Each candidate reviewed, and each candidate making a tribal alignment within the RNC Club structure.
That's why Pence and DeSantis appearing today, at a club event, tells us the FL governor has chosen his tribe.
(9) If the R-Club can eliminate any outsider between now and the deciding time of spring 2023, they will.
This is what people call political power-brokering.
The larger club goal is to only have controlled "insiders" on the actual ticket of options, within their map.
(10) That's the "so what?"
Nothing in this process happens coincidentally. Each wing of the UniParty bird, each club, presents the illusion of choice based on pre-determined alignments.
(11) Today, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis affirmed his alignment with Mike Pence, which tells the club he's in. DeSantis is an "insider."
The Club will proceed accordingly. The R-Club wants to eliminate the risk of uncontrollable MAGA voters, by eliminating or steering them.
(12) Understandably, given his generally solid approach as a governor, some supporter sensibilities are wounded by any message that points negatively toward DeSantis.
However, it's the stuff that takes place in background that most miss. Thus, there's a disconnect in knowledge

(16) In order to understand The Club moves in 2023 for 2024, you must continually monitor the club moves much earlier. It's a lot of work, and leads to many disappointing revelations, but the Club counts on us not doing it.
