Morality is the foundation of all Buddhist practice. For the most part, what is morally right is not hard to see though it can be hard to do. Bulford clearly explains why and how he sees his moral position while also displaying the courage to stand by his conclusions. A major tragedy in this pandemic is many people like Bulford—who are the best of all our people– have lost their jobs due to their acting on a higher imperative than what they have been told to do. I hope the day will soon come when we honor and repay these people for their courage. ABN
