UPDATE: I believe ‘they’ are working on a triple incompetence excuse. First Cheatle’s obvious and obnoxious incompetence, then Roe’s pathetic and incurious incompetence. Then add them together for the third level of incompetence—the incompetent excuse incompetence, which is so obvious, incurious, pathetic and obnoxious no one can believe it so maybe everyone will, or will at least go along with it because it is so awful.
