I am going to leave this at this, for now. It does look like Lobach was insufficiently trained and probably rusty during that flight. She did work at the Biden WH for two years, from what I have seen. Was she responsible for the crash? I do not know. Trump indicated he knows what happened and that it involved an error in the flight path of the helicopter, which was 200 feet higher than it should have been. More info will probably come out on this. ABN

The chopper pilot was indeed at fault. The route the chopper was flying is a well used route thru DC and it has a maximum allowable altitude of 200 feet. They fly along a highway on the east side of the Potomac and must stay at or below that altitude because commercial jets are in that area landing at Reagan airport. The jets are generally above 400 feet which gives only 200 feet between their lowest altitude and the chopper’s maximum allowable altitude. The chopper was flying along that route, staying at or below 200 feet, then just as it would have passed under the jet, it climbed to well above 300 feet and flew right into the airplane. Why did she climb above that maximum allowable altitude at the last minute before encountering the jet? It looks like the deliberately flew into the airplane! (but probably not deliberate, just spatial disorientation, misreading the lights, and momentarily forgetting about the 200 ft maximum.)
That the helicopter pilot caused the crash has been known since no more than 24 hours after that crash, but the media continues to speculate about the cause, trying to blame ATC staffing, implying that Trump’s budget cuts are going to make flying less safe. Why don’t they report the TRUTH? Why don’t they suggest that maybe it’s the MILITARY that needs budget cuts, at least in the DC area? Why don’t they suggest that the MILITARY stop flying that chopper route that gives only 200 feet of vertical separation between their choppers and commercial airplanes?

I am seeing a fair amount of info indicating she may have been a high-end DEI rapid promotion. she probably was capable but obviously not enough if she was the cause. we see this in many areas, recently at LA fire department. academia is also full of this but it’s harder to identify when no one is killed but society is poisoned with dumb ideas, while being robbed of good ones
