FIML practice, unlike most academic linguistics, is centered on performance, not competence.

FIML deals primarily with communication mistakes and their emotional impacts on both speakers and listeners.

In a nutshell, FIML removes performance errors made between partners in real-time. This is true and one of the main reasons students of any age do much better when in classes with classmates who are all at roughly the same level and are being taught by teachers who understand this.

This principle need have nothing to do with race.

It is basic pedagogy, and can be extrapolated to many other situations — employment, clubs, social circles, immigration, neighborhoods, and yes, also race and cultural background.

This is the main reason DEI is always guaranteed to fail.

Classic clan response due to stress. Parasites always hate their hosts because it permits them ‘morally’ to justify their parasitism.

Hatred of the host is a strong identifier of a parasitic group.

Whites have trouble understanding this because we do not group together in biological clans, but rather in a communal sense of what is right or wrong based on the rule of law.

Beyond that, unwise Christian love for others has penetrated too deeply in most Whites, bypassing existential wisdom.

The entire rest of the world is tribal and clannish based on biology.

Whites’ Achilles heel is their blindness to this global reality.

Trump hails US capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife

Donald Trump has hailed his ‘brilliant’ operation to capture Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, as Maduro’s deputy demanded proof the leader is still alive.

Speaking to The New York Times at 4:30am on Saturday morning, nine minutes after announcing the raid on his TruthSocial website, Trump said: ‘A lot of good planning and lot of great, great troops and great people.

‘It was a brilliant operation, actually.’ Asked if he had consulted Congress prior to authorizing the strike, Trump said: ‘We’ll discuss that.’

He then told the paper he’d give more details during a press conference scheduled for 11:30 ET from his Mar-a-Lago country club in Palm Beach, Florida.

Why generalities don’t work

You cannot achieve satisfying communication by using general ideas or general role models.

For example, many Buddhists use a general sense of “compassion” or a vague understanding of “Buddhist wisdom” to get along with other people. This strategy can work for light duties at a Buddhist temple or for projecting a basic sense of who you are to other people, but it won’t be deeply satisfying.

The problem is very simple to state but harder to fix. The problem is we misunderstand each other very often and in very significant ways and these misunderstandings cannot be simply smoothed over with generalities.

Humans are deeply affected by their interactions with other humans. All those little mistakes in speaking and listening lead to big misunderstandings in our relationships, often rather quickly.

I cannot think of another way to deal with this fundamental problem except through FIML practice or something very much like it. When we communicate with people we care about, we have to have ways to restate our meaning, take it back, query each other, probe relevant semiotics. If we don’t, we will misunderstand each other in serious ways.
