Two dead in ‘attempted terror attack’ on Rainbow Bridge: Car entering the US from Canada EXPLODES at iconic Niagara Falls crossing, killing two occupants inside
An attempted terror attack on Rainbow Bridge at Niagara Falls today saw a car explode, causing a massive explosion at a toll checkpoint that killed the vehicle’s two occupants.
Fox News cites law enforcement sources who say the intention was a larger attack to kill more an the FBI Terrorism Task Force is investigating but officials are yet to confirm the motive.
It remains unclear if anyone aside from those in the car were injured.
The City of Niagara Falls says the explosion came from a car that was trying to enter the US from Canada. It comes just two days after an intelligence report signaled increased risk of a terror attack in New York City.
After the explosion, motorists who’d driven into America were told to leave their vehicles and walk back into Canada while the cars were checked for bombs.

…What if forward causality could somehow be reversed in time, allowing actions in the future to influence outcomes in the past? This mind-bending idea, known as retrocausality, may seem like science fiction grist at first glance, but it is starting to gain real traction among physicists and philosophers, among other researchers, as a possible solution to some of the most intractable riddles underlying our reality.
Buddhist speculation: It has long seemed to me that sometimes (or maybe often, always) future life events have influenced events in the past. In Buddhist philosophy, time is cyclical. Since Buddhism is an always evolving and always deeply personal system of thought, there is no need to accept cyclical time if it does not comport well with other ideas important to you.
Time as it is generally conceived today means that the entire cosmos ‘disappears’ every moment only to ‘reappear’ in the next. In this view, time is not at all like a river since there is no river behind us and no river in front of us.
I like conceiving of the future as having a sort of ‘gravitational’ influence’ on the past, sometimes deeply particular in its details and sometimes (or always) more general. For example, are we heading toward WW3 because collectively we are the same fools we always have been or because WW3 has already happened in the future and no matter what we do it will occur?
Did what led you to Buddhist thought arise solely from past conditions or did some of it arise from what was then your future, your now current understanding of the Dharma? Maybe there is a mix of causation between past and future and something like WW3 is only probable but not definite. ABN

When you fly, you never see a controller. Controllers never see you. But they must reflect, understand, and relate.
The racism detectors found what they were looking for. White people – and Asians – were scoring too high on the controller aptitude test, called the AT-SAT. And they were getting better! “More troubling, there is evidence that the percentage of people scoring 85 or higher on the AT-SAT in certain RNO classifications – that means “race and national origin” – has been steadily increasing over the last three years at a higher rate than others.”

Here is proof of racism: the percentages of various groups that scored 85 or better out of 100 on the AT-SAT. The previous three years had been grim.
Look at those pesky whites. In 2009, 68 percent scored 85 or better, and in the next years it was 74 percent and then 78 percent. And look at blacks: poking along at 37 percent, 36 percent, and 38 percent. Asians were another disaster; in the previous two years, they had the audacity to score as high as whites.
And, uh oh, women, in red, scored worse than men, in orange. So the AT-SAT was racist and sexist.

Swedish government’s bid to revoke permits for foreigners with ‘flawed way of life’
A new government inquiry will investigate how foreigners who commit crimes or do not have an ‘upstanding way of life’ in Sweden could potentially have their residence permit revoked.
People who apply for a permanent residence permit already have to be able to show they “live an orderly life” – a criminal record could for example be grounds for refusing a permanent permit.
But the government wants to make it easier to refuse and even revoke permits for foreign residents who have a “flawed way of life”, read a statement that announced the new inquiry on Tuesday.
That could for example include benefits cheating or abusing the welfare system in other ways, having large debts or being involved in or associating with gang crime or terrorist activities.
It could also include statements that threaten democracy or the Swedish system.
