A deep philosophical flaw of the West is the root cause of our downfall

The West has failed to analyze and understand metalevels of interpersonal communication. Our philosophies employ metalevel concepts and vocabularies but have never delved into or properly understood metalevels of interpersonal communication.

This failure to properly understand metalevels of interpersonal communication has very large downstream effects. It has retarded our religious understanding and psychologies, our group formation, our understanding of other groups, and our ability to form profound interpersonal relationships.

The basis of this claim is that when interpersonal language is deeply restricted—as ours is by this massive hole in Western philosophy—all other forms of language use are negatively affected. When metalevels of interpersonal communication are limited, so is almost everything else.

I believe our philosophers never went there for the same reason no one elsewhere has either—analysis of interpersonal metacognitive language and thought goes against a primitive human instinct to not question others too closely, especially in real-time and about usage and meaning.

The few areas of Western endeavor that have not been hobbled in this way are science, technology, and to some extent economics and politics. This is because these areas by definition must deal with metalevel concepts and thus are very capable of understanding and manipulating them, but only in their own self-described contexts. They are successful because they are practically engaged with the real-world.

In contrast, Western religions, psychologies, group formations, and intergroup communication are so severely hobbled by limited metacognitive understanding, they are all but forced to use rigid definitions of what their metacognitive levels are. Thus Western psychologies are theoretical, religions are dogmatic, group formations are formal at best or ideologically tribal, indicating the need to enforce metacognitive language and concepts rather than analyze or discuss them.

Wittgenstein came close to understanding the problem but did not provide a solution or seem to see that there is one. I hope readers of this site understand that FIML is both the solution to this problem and the best way to personally experience and come to grips with how very serious it is. ABN

A classified US operation used undercover agents to obtain a previously unknown microwave weapon that could explain mysterious brain injuries known as Havana Syndrome.

The revelation of the US operation marks a dramatic turn in a perplexing case that has divided US intelligence agencies for years, according to a new report by CBS’ 60 Minutes.

The secret operation used undercover Homeland Security agents to purchase the miniaturized microwave weapon from a Russian criminal network for about $15 million in 2024.

The weapon was described by CBS sources as a small, portable, concealable and unlike a traditional gun.

The mystery device is silent, does not generate heat like a microwave oven, can be programmed for different scenarios, operated remotely, and has a beam range of several hundred feet. It can reportedly penetrate windows and drywall.

The ‘Havana Syndrome’ phenomenon began in 2016 when American diplomats, CIA spies and military personnel reported sudden, crippling symptoms. 

CBS News said it did not see the weapon itself, but sources described it as small, portable, concealable and unlike a traditional gun. 

The ‘key,’ sources told the program, is not just the hardware but the software – code that shapes ‘a unique, electromagnetic wave that rises and falls abruptly and pulses rapidly.’

I do not believe for one second USA did not know about this weapon. It is interesting that it can be made so small, something I did not know but am not surprised to learn. Ofc, a weapon like this sold by a ‘Russian criminal network’ is going to be well-known and owned by many intelligence agencies, both governmental and private. Attacking opponents with this sort of weapon can disable them for years, and discredit them permanently. I am sure there are many subtle levels of damage available for hostile use. We can be sure this news is coming out now for reasons other than gee-whiz or just coming clean; but I am not sure what they are. Gentle reader, do not be so naive as to think weapons like this are not used widely to disable opponents of whichever gang owns them. Covert, internecine violence in USA and throughout the West is much, much, much higher than most realize. A great deal of covert violence is done to young people, especially boys and young men, because it is close to impossible to identify what has happened to them. If this is true, we can be sure the core of the Deep State is Jewish Supremist. I am a realist and pragmatist, so I believe we have to work with that. All along I have been hoping Trump would not go this far, but he has. He is still president, so we have to work with that. I worry about too many of us dropping out due to something like this. The Deep State uses narratives to fool us because they have to have us go along with their plans. Monkeypox failed because no one bought it. He is reading this speech, so no doubt about what it means. Israel did a MIHOP on 10/7, which killed thousands of Israelis, thus setting up their Deep State to destroy Gaza. The attack on Iran looks like the same ploy: Assault Iran, incur large enough MIHOP losses to justify using nuclear weapons. Obliterate Iran, probably leading to its territory being remapped into several smaller satrapies. That is speculation but surely something to keep in mind.
