It looks like AG Merrick Garland is appointing a special counsel, because (a) he has to deflect political criticism given the issues and the growing scale; and (b) because a special counsel appointment will now throw the bag of “a current investigation” over any efforts from the Republican House of Representatives to investigate the office of the presidency.

Panic grips Special Forces community amid investigation into drugs, human trafficking
Panic and fear spread throughout the special operations community at Fort Bragg and Fayetteville, North Carolina as CID and FBI agents investigated members of 3rd Special Forces Group and Delta Force who allegedly were involved in drug and in one instance human trafficking, according to nearly a dozen current and former military sources.
The arrests began Thursday, Jan. 5 and culminated with a 100% recall and accountability formation for 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group yesterday.
It is unknown when the investigation into drug and human trafficking in the Fort Bragg area began, but it is known that the FBI became involved in investigating the deaths of Timothy Dumas and Delta Force operator Billy Lavigne in 2020 when both were found shot to death at a training site on Bragg.
Last week’s arrests began with investigators receiving more evidence after an undercover law enforcement officer posing as an underage girl helped arrest a member of 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group back in December. That individual was known to moonlight as a bouncer at a bar in Southern Pines frequented by the Special Forces community, a military source close to the situation explained to Connecting Vets. The Green Beret is alleged to have been pimping underaged girls to the Special Forces community at drug-fueled parties in Southern Pines.

‘World’s Most Wanted’ Human Trafficker Arrested
The United Arab Emirates announced on Thursday, January 5, that it had arrested Kidane Zekarias Habtemariam in Sudan, the “most wanted human trafficker in the world,” during an international police operation carried out with Interpol.
He is presented as “one of the cruelest smugglers in the world.” Habtemariam headed a notorious Libya-based human trafficking ring responsible for the murder, torture, rape, and extortion of thousands of African migrants wishing to go to Europe.

The truth was the data underlying these claims was never released for verification and any benefit was either short lived (healthy vaccinee effect) or due to miscategorisation bias.

Yet people died as a result because they believed the reports.

The FBI has “some folks in the Baltimore field office and at HQ that are just doing keyword searches for violations,” then-Twitter legal executive Stacia Cardille stressed in a Nov. 3, 2020, email to Jim Baker, the then-deputy general counsel for Twitter. “This is probably the 10th request I have dealt with in the last 5 days,” Cardille continued, before telling Baker to let her know if he had any other questions.”

Former Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal arrested for child porn
Parag Agrawal, the former CEO of Twitter, has been arrested for possession of child pornography after a tip off from Elon Musk.
The executive was arrested at his home in California by the FBI. His lawyer has stated to the Vancouver Times that he plans on pleading not guilty. He is expected to be released on bail.
The executive not only collected child abuse material off of Twitter and other social media platforms, he turned a blind eye to users that shared the same material on the social media platform.
Twitter was a haven for child porn until Elon Musk took over.

Child porn is banned speech because producing it is immoral and rightly criminalized. At the same time, the topic of child porn is legal and rightly should be legal to speak about. This illustrates a valuable distinction that can and should be made in free speech laws. I tend to think there is no topic that should be banned or made illegal. And neither should any individual’s speech receive a blanket ban or be made illegal. The ‘curators’ of free speech have failed miserably during covid, bringing death to millions as a direct consequence of their banning certain topics (early treatments, etc) and people (Dr Peter McCullough, etc). ‘The Science’ of AGW has very similar flaws and similarly will bring death and misery to millions if it continues to be widely protected from being questioned, even proved wrong. Just these two examples—covid and AGW—provide an argument strong enough remove all bans on topics and people. When Musk says he largely agrees to this but wants to ban the reach of some speech and some people, we can point back again to just these two topics. Banning precisely their reach has led to immense misery and death. ABN

Kari Lake Trial Reveals 42.5% of Randomly Examined Ballots Were Improper
According to Republican governor candidate Kari Lake’s legal team, 42.5% of examined ballots in Maricopa County for the 2022 governor’s race were illegitimate. Lake’s trial began on Wednesday were she is attempting to prove that wide scale fraud took place in Maricopa County on election day.
The Lake War Room tweeted on Wednesday that 48 of the 113 ballots that were reviewed during examination were “19-inch ballots produced on 20-inch paper,”
“This one-inch discrepancy cause chaos on Election day. Causing the mass rejection of these votes as they were attempted to be read through the tabulators,” the Kari Lake War Room tweeted.
