A group of 17 European countries call for a ‘paradigm shift’ to deport rejected asylum seekers
A group of 17 European countries has called for a “paradigm shift” in migration policy to ensure asylum seekers whose applications have been declined are effectively and speedily sent back to their home countries.
This new approach, they say, should entail “consequences” for those who are handed a return order but never leave the continent.
“People without the right to stay must be held accountable. A new legal basis must clearly define their obligations and duties,” the countries write in a non-paper seen by Euronews. “Non-cooperation must have consequences and be sanctioned.”
Governments, they continue, “must be empowered” to carry out deportations “in full respect of fundamental rights”.
The document was led by Austria and the Netherlands and endorsed by Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Slovakia and Sweden. Norway, Switzerland and Liechtenstein, three non-EU member states part of the Schengen Area, also lent their signatures.

No more German military hardware for Ukraine – Bild
Germany has no more military hardware to offer Ukraine beyond what has already been pledged, even as Kiev remains hard-pressed by Russia on the front line, Bild reported on Saturday.
According to the outlet, the German Defense Ministry does not believe that Ukraine will be capable of launching “an offensive to liberate its own territory” in the near future.
The report also said, citing an internal document, that Berlin would no longer send “heavy weapons” to Ukraine, and that deliveries of this type of aid have been “completed.” The term applies to tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, self-propelled howitzers and similar hardware.
In addition, according to Bild, a supposedly new €1.4 billion ($1.53 billion) military aid package German Chancellor Olaf Scholz recently pledged in fact refers to commitments promised and paid for last year.
US Will Send Air Defense Battery and American Troops to Israel to Bolster Defenses Against Iran
WASHINGTON — The United States will send a Terminal High Altitude Area Defense battery to Israel, along with the troops needed to operate it, the Pentagon said Sunday, even as Iran warned Washington to keep American military forces out of Israel.
Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder, Pentagon spokesman, said in a statement that Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin authorized the deployment of the THAAD battery at the direction of President Joe Biden. He said the system will help bolster Israel’s air defenses following Iran’s ballistic missile attacks on Israel in April and October.
The delivery of the sophisticated missile defense system risks further inflaming the conflict in the Middle East despite widespread diplomatic efforts to avoid an all-out war. The Iranian warning came in a post on the social platform X long associated with Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who noted the earlier reports that the U.S. was considering the deployment.

We all know this, but it is still shocking when you see the numbers lined up. Let’s not forget Lahaina; victims of that disaster got $700, if memory serves. The conspiracy theory about Lahaina is it was destroyed by lasers lighting the fires on roofs that were not blue or owned by celebrities. The theory on Hurricane Helene is the storm was deliberately directed across the area to cause massive destruction so the land can now be purchased/commandeered for lithium mining. Apparently Helene’s path of destruction went directly over the richest lithium mines in the world.
USA has spent $200 billion in what looks to me like nothing other than deliberate destruction of Ukraine, which now is largely owned by non-Ukrainian investment funds. The land was cheap and Ukrainians cannot afford it. Zelensky, who is Jewish, changed the law to allow foreign entities to buy up Ukraine. At the same time, Zelensky has signed contracts with those same foreign entities to borrow money from them to rebuild Ukraine’s destroyed infrastructure. One-half of Ukraine’s population has fled due to the war and 700,000 of its young, strong men have been killed in the war. Nothing morally good has been accomplished. The failure of Europe to form an enduring amicable alliance with Russia is the greatest foreign policy failure in world history. WW1, WW2, and now WW3 have all been fought largely to prevent that alliance. No Westerner in their right mind (and not bribed or blackmailed) would not want an enduring amicable alliance with Russia.
When we see foreign military age men entering USA in droves, and being paid to do so, we fear they are soldiers who will feel no sympathy for US citizens if conflict breaks out. This is a valid fear as, historically, foreign troops are frequently used to slaughter populations they have no sympathy for. Understand also that foreign military operatives can also infiltrate at the top. Do the top people in USA act like they sympathize with citizens of USA? Who is giving Congress its marching orders? Who is getting all the money Congress sends abroad but does not use to help US citizens? ABN
