Pfizer and BioNTech today said they plan to apply for Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) of a COVID-19 booster dose for healthy 5- to 11-year-olds based on results of a small study that has not been published or analyzed by independent experts.
The companies also plan to request authorization from the European Medicines Agency and other regulatory agencies around the world as soon as possible.
Pfizer said in a press release the third dose of its vaccine produced significant protection against the Omicron variant in children 5 to 11 in a small Phase 2/3 clinical trial.

The Unsettling Truth About Climate Science and Politics
…A key takeaway is that media reports and punditry, even by scientists, about climate change are the result of something like a long game of “telephone” where the message is slightly altered through every connection it makes to get to that day’s talking head. It’s all the worse because the interpretation from the original scientific studies is typically made by people who don’t understand what they’re reading or who have a bias to emphasize or, more often, want to create a certain conclusion. In these days of “journalists” who have lost any scruple or trepidation about writing their opinion (no matter how uninformed) as news, you generally have both, resulting in dishonest translations of the science by people who didn’t understand it to begin with.
Indeed, one of the most surprising and important lessons of Unsettled is that many claims made by the media, politicians, and “scientists,” usually of the left, based on the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), are not made in the reports themselves or are views or conclusions that the reports explicitly say are held with “low confidence.” For example — and I expect this will shock anyone, regardless of your opinions on the issue or the science — the IPCC expresses the following:
“low confidence regarding the sign of trend in the magnitude and/or frequency of floods on a global scale” (in other words, the size and frequency of floods might just as easily be decreasing as increasing)
“low confidence in a global-scale observed trend in drought or dryness (lack of rainfall) since the middle of the 20th century”
“low confidence in trends in small-scale severe weather phenomena such as hail and thunderstorms”
An IPCC Special Report says, “Even if there were no anthropogenic (human-caused) changes in climate, a wide variety of natural weather and climate extremes would still occur.”

Denial of Early Covid-19 Treatment – A Crime Against Humanity
American citizens were recently coerced into being part of the test or control groups of a medical experiment, without adequate knowledge and without their consent. Hundreds of thousands of Americans likely died from the resulting denial of timely and adequate treatment of Covid-19 and more importantly, its preventable secondary conditions.
This was an egregious violation of The Nuremberg Code on human rights. The time has come for jurisprudence and restitution to those harmed.
We as humans never, never, never possess a moral, financial, social, critical, risk, scientific, nor philosophical basis to argue that any and all treatment for a malady should be denied research or application. This is an absolute human right.

The American medical community has been defamed, demeaned, debased, and rubbed in the shit and vomit of dead and dying patients
I make no judgement of individuals but conclude that the American health industry has taken on a colossal moral burden due to covid malpractice. The death and injury toll is higher than most wars while the strain of fighting against it would have been much less than any war.
Some few did fight but most did not.
I honestly pity health care workers who were trapped anywhere on the disassembly line of suffering and death that was covid banned treatments and forced maltreatments. I honestly feel great pity and sadness for the families and friends of these people. In America alone the number of people closely implicated in the moral travesty of our covid response must number several million actual health care workers and many millions more of their dependents, neighbors, friends.
From a Buddhist point of view, the karma generated is deep and foul. I make no judgement of individuals. From a Christian point of view, the sins of commission and omission are enormous. From an atheist or scientific point of view, the conscience burns at the travesty.
It is difficult to say this without appearing to cast blame. I am not blaming anyone. Each one of us must assess our own thoughts and actions. What can be said is our medical system has been proven to be a grotesque moral failure, an abomination of medical science. Medical licensing, hospital funding, and government bureaucracies all play a large role.
For individuals, a clear assessment of own responsibility is imperative. Then according to beliefs, conscious action must follow. ABN
MINES, MINERALS, AND “GREEN” ENERGY: A REALITY CHECK
As policymakers have shifted focus from pandemic challenges to economic recovery, infrastructure plans are once more being actively discussed, including those relating to energy. Green energy advocates are doubling down on pressure to continue, or even increase, the use of wind, solar power, and electric cars. Left out of the discussion is any serious consideration of the broad environmental and supply-chain implications of renewable energy.
As I explored in a previous paper, “The New Energy Economy: An Exercise in Magical Thinking,”1 many enthusiasts believe things that are not possible when it comes to the physics of fueling society, not least the magical belief that “clean-tech” energy can echo the velocity of the progress of digital technologies. It cannot.
This paper turns to a different reality: all energy-producing machinery must be fabricated from materials extracted from the earth. No energy system, in short, is actually “renewable,” since all machines require the continual mining and processing of millions of tons of primary materials and the disposal of hardware that inevitably wears out. Compared with hydrocarbons, green machines entail, on average, a 10-fold increase in the quantities of materials extracted and processed to produce the same amount of energy.
This means that any significant expansion of today’s modest level of green energy—currently less than 4% of the country’s total consumption (versus 56% from oil and gas)—will create an unprecedented increase in global mining for needed minerals, radically exacerbate existing environmental and labor challenges in emerging markets (where many mines are located), and dramatically increase U.S. imports and the vulnerability of America’s energy supply chain.
