This is another example of extremely distasteful authoritarian speech. This video was made for public consumption to define public “reality” by bolstering the false Ukraine narrative. By signaling support for Zelensky in this truly cringe setup, these two men are demonstrating to the public what to think and how to behave. Eva calls them “weak” but a more accurate description is they are deeply ensconced members of very powerful parasitic groups that are acting in their own selfish interests, not in Ukraine’s, Canada’s, or the UK’s. This is why they sound so saccharine, so phony, like a narcissistic mother talking on the phone to her child who is away at summer camp for the first time. ABN
