Love it! Worked long enough as a teacher and student to despise indoctrination. Learn them how to read, write, calculate and think on their own. Not sure how states will do, but education is best controlled at the school level or slightly above by the parents with some assistance from the district and state, but not too much and no ideological coercion. Totally agree with you regarding teaching them how to think! Seems that education nowadays focuses on memorization and passing tests. I would love to see a Logic 101 class included in all High School curricula. A philosophy course would be great too, but that’s probably asking too much!
