yes, it is! Chess.com is another good one. And of course the youtuber agadmator is great if you like to watch him review recent as well as classic games, along with occasional live action of him playing on Lichess.
I am strictly a player of chess puzzles and do it quite often on lichess. chess.dom is also good for puzzles. I stopped actively playing the game because I couldn’t stop thinking about games afterward; took up too much headspace
I get too emotionally involved, so I limited my games to one per day. And I’ve even stopped that for a while, but I do play against the computer. I watched a lot of Agadmator’s videos for a while. You might enjoy him if you haven’t seen him already. Tal games are good to watch, amazing sacrifices out of the blue. Nezhmetdinov is another player who was good at sacrifices. Agadmator has reviewed a lot of games of both these players as well as many others. It’s been quite amazing seeing his channel grow. I started watching him when he had 300,000 subscribers. Now he has 1.33 million!
I watched a couple of Agadmator’s video’s last night. Both were very good and I will watch more. He has a good pace and a good way of explaining options and strategy. For now, I am going to stick with puzzles only. Chess puzzles drop you straight into an interesting problem and rarely last more than a few minutes.
