   For the followers of Buddhism, this age-old festival is a symbol of renewal of nature and man, spiritual enlightenment and harmony, purity of thoughts and hopeful aspirations. Its rich traditions, carefully passed down through generations, introduce young people to the unique historical and cultural heritage of their ancestors, their distinctive customs and way of life, and the enduring moral and humanistic values.

   It is heartening that today, the Buddhists of Russia and Buddhist organisations actively contribute to the life of the country. They play a meaningful role in strengthening inter-faith and interethnic relations, fostering productive dialogue with the state authorities, and supporting participants in the special military operation and their families. And, of course, the followers of Buddhism remain committed to restoring historic temples, building new monasteries and developing educational and spiritual centres.”
