Whether Nick is wearing a ‘fed-jacket’ or is being helped by the federal government or not, he’s still doing good work. It’s good to remember the federal government has many honorable people and there is no shame in working with them or helping the government do good deeds. Many years ago I had inside knowledge of a federal criminal case that made national headlines. I was approached by an FBI agent and agreed to tell her what I knew as well as explain aspects of the crime they did not know about or understand. The agent was intelligent, open minded and fair. After speaking with her for hours, she came to understand that prosecution was not warranted in that case. Much good came of that and no harm. Ideally, we do not want to simply oppose the government. We want the government to serve the public good, be reasonable and fair. We can only get there by helping where we can and resisting what we must. ABN
