You have to understand. These people are NOT politicians as we understand the term. They do not represent the interests of their constituents. They’re political constructs. Bad actors sloppily regurgitating scripted rhetoric at the behest of their oligarchical overlords. All to provide the illusion of participatory governance to the peasantry. They represent an international oligarchical order and they’re desperate to hold on to power.
