I’m going to skip noting that Elon Musk Twitter is essentially unchanged, regarding the relationship between Twitter, the Dept of Homeland Security and the disinformation police, as many keep saying Musk Twitter has not had time to reformat.
That said, five days after our post-election review of the difference between ballots and votes, and within minutes of the controversial Arizona governor contest being announced by DHS media outlets, suddenly any discussion about “Ballots -vs- Votes” is considered a risk to democracy. [LINK}
The need for control is a reaction to fear.
Twitter specifically, and Big Tech writ large, has now placed a warning on the CTH article where we draw attention to the general difference between ballots and votes. The timing of the intervention, as related to the content discussed, is transparent. Sunlight is a great disinfectant and must be controlled at all costs.
JUST FACTS: It's estimated there are around 400,000 blue☑️'s on Twitter. At $8 a month, that's $3.2 million a month(if they pay). NOW, there are about 240 million users on Twitter, how many become verified? It's simple business analytics. @elonmusk
If only 10 million decide to become verified, that's an $80 million a month revenue increase not including other income streams.
Let's say 40 million step up and become verified over time…that's $320 million in revenue a month or $3.8 billion annually.
But most importantly, let’s leave out the dollars and cents. It’s about freedom. Talk all you want about civilization, but this is what it is about, FREEDOM, and I thank you for that. @elonmusk

With ad revenue currently at around $175 million a month or around $2.1 billion annually.
Add it all up…it will be between a $4.3 to $4.7 billion a year business not including things that are not public. Still wondering how Twitter didn't collapse years ago bleeding out 4-6 million year. How did it stay afloat all these years? @elonmusk
At this point in history, anyone who is claiming the U.S. Government is not directly coordinating with social media platforms to shape opinion and cull information adverse to their interests, is being intellectually dishonest. There is simply too much evidence of the intelligence apparatus, specifically the Dept of Homeland Security, being enmeshed with the platforms of Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Google and Microsoft.
The DHS justifications for the relationship all involve claims of ‘national security’ and domestic terror threats. However, the simple and transparent motivations of the relationship are all political. The DHS terms of “disinformation, misinformation and malinformation” are simply excuses for the platforms to adhere to the demands of the government and censor or remove discussion that is against the interests of those in power. The truth of this is in the sunlight now.
That said, the relationship between the intelligence community and social media is one of mutual benefit. DHS gets to conduct surveillance and control permitted speech in the public square, and in return Big Tech gets assurances of their ability to continue monopolistic enterprise and simultaneously receive subsidies on operational costs. The legislative branch allows this synergy without oversight because the legislative branch is in alignment with the larger ‘national security’ ruse.
Nonetheless, Elon has made some good moves. That said Western IC has to be all over his ass. Can anyone not approved by cabal do anything in USA? Probably not. Trust good information over people but people are always major factors. Musk will change Twitter. New technology is always going to happen and can’t be stopped. Big places to share uncensored information is probably all we will have. I can support and enjoy Musk and hope for the best while keeping in mind the forces around him and all of us. ABN
I congratulate Smith for saying this and often repeating it. At the same time, I wonder why so many Americans still do not understand this. I have intelligent relatives and friends who spend their lives entirely ensconced within an NPR/MSM faux version of reality. I do not see how it is not obvious to them that they are being consistently lied to and mind-controlled. The hour is late and our predicament has been obvious for a long time. ABN
US District Judge Terry Doughty granted the request led by Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt and Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry
The suit alleges the Biden administration actively worked with social media companies and encouraged them to censor ‘disfavored’ viewpoints and were in violation of the First Amendment rights of those individuals
Anthony Fauci, Jen Psaki, the former White House Press Secretary, FBI Supervisory Special Agent Elvis Chan, among others will be deposed
Before Friday’s order, the judge gave the White House 21 days to comply
He threw away the Justice Department’s attempt to use executive privilege
Doughty ruled that executive privilege does not apply to external communications by White House officials
Two things about Twitter and the U.S. government are true, and that makes predicting where this ends up quite challenging to game out.
♦First, the U.S. intelligence apparatus is actively involved in the background operations of Twitter. The extent of the IC involvement may be debatable, but the IC being involved in Twitter is fundamentally true.
♦Second, if the U.S. government wanted to stop Elon Musk from purchasing Twitter, they could – very easily. As noted, Musks network of business operations is heavily dependent on a partnership with the U.S. government (SpaceX, Starlink, Tesla, etc.) The State Dept, Pentagon, NASA, FAA, and various intelligence agencies are all parts of a deep network of relationships with Musk’s organizations.
The fact that the U.S. government does not intervene in any Musk effort, including Twitter, is not evidence of Musk being outside the system. Factually, it would be challenging to find another company with tentacles as wide, far reaching and connected to the U.S. government.
Musk is purchasing Twitter because the U.S. government wants to allow Musk to purchase Twitter. Musk may be ‘dirty dancing‘ with the government while trying to retain the patina of an outsider, but the network of his company attachments to the U.S. government run counter to that outlook.
Again, I don’t know what Musk’s intent is, and hopefully the Twitter outcome is something much more open and transparent than currently exists. However, that said, we should not assign too much weight to any media outline of the dynamic until we have actual reference points to any possible change.
Most voters believe “the mainstream media” is a threat to democracy, according to the latest New York Times/Siena poll.
Voters were asked whether they believe “American democracy is currently under threat” or the opposite. Then voters who responded in the affirmative were asked where the blame lies.
Seventy-one percent of voters told pollsters they think democracy is in danger. Of those respondents, 84 percent said the mainstream media is contributing to the political system’s peril.
The BQ.1 and BQ.1.1 variants appeared inside Nowcast, just as was rumored.
What they did not tell you, was that the arrival of this rise in cases – is commensurate with a 22% rise in positivity among those \/’d less than 3 months ago.
4% LOSS in positivity among the UN-\/.
How long will they keep denying this? Both the magnitude, and the change over time bear out an association between the \/ and catching Covid.
Is it not a foul disgrace that someone as skilled and selfless as The Ethical Skeptic must use the symbol “\/” for covid vaccines? Three years of covid have shown us beyond a shadow of a doubt that “uncurated” information from “fringe” researchers has consistently been vastly better than the curated information served up by Big Tech, MSM, and the US government. But TES posts on Twitter, someone might say. Yes, he does and he is a rare exception that proves the rule and even he has had to use the symbol \/. He got around Twitter bans by using arcane vocabularies, \/, and by writing in an abstruse manner, which sadly kept his work hidden from many people it could have helped. Big Tech, MSN, the CDC, NIH, FDA, NIAID, and more have been horrible with covid information, which though they stated it clearly enough has been all but universally wrong. So wrong it has led to the worst manmade health disaster in world history. ABN
“We” are being manipulated into the vision of Elon being the free speech shield-bearer – but what has Musk revealed recently as to his true motivations for wanting Twitter.
Musk’s vision for Twitter is “one stop shopping.” E-commerce. He intends to bring social media, banking, auto loans, Amazon type buying, insurance, paying loans and utility bills, medical insurance, service estimates, you name it- under the umbrella of Twitter. Everything you do, buy, need – could be bought on the Twitter website. This is about power and money.
Why does he care about bot accounts? Because what he is buying is access to you, to me, to each and everyone of us on Twitter now or on Twitter in the future. He wants to know the exact number of warm bodies to sell to his investors. Remember – with the purchase of Twitter, he will have a client base maybe in the billions – before he even launches a single product! That client base includes some of the most influential, wealthy and educated people on the planet.
