The closest English sound to the “X” in Xi (Jinping) is “sh”. So if you pronounce his name She Jinping you will be very close, close enough. And much better than Zee Jinping or other versions we frequently hear. While on this topic which matters only because China is so large, the “j” in Beijing is pronounced just like the “j” in jingle. Leave off the “le” in jingle and you will pronounce Beijing perfectly.
If you want to be nerdy about your pronunciation of the Chinese “x”, shape your mouth and tongue to say the English “sh”, then spread your lips and tongue a little bit and move the aspiration point to the roof of your mouth. It’s an easy sound to make for English speakers. None of this is very important. All languages pronounce borrowed words and names in their own ways. Alright, I’m going to explain what Elon Musk is likely doing over there at Twitter. This is not a discussion on whether it’s RIGHT OR WRONG; just what’s happening.

What Elon is engaged in is something called "Whaling and Culling."
First, the "Whaling":
It's a common refrain that you've probably heard at some point or another "10% of people do 90% of the work." That's what that tight 2 week deadline for Twitter Blue was for; he was perfectly aware that it was an unrealistic time frame. It was a test.
By pushing for such an extremely tight deadline, Elon got to see who is actually doing work and who is resting on their laurels. Furthermore, it proved who could actually perform under extreme pressure.
FTX’s new CEO and liquidator, John Ray III, who also oversaw the unwinding and liquidation of Enron, admits that “Never in my career have I seen such a complete failure of corporate controls and such a complete absence of trustworthy financial information as occurred here.”
And just in case his shock at FTX’s fraud of epic proportions was not quite clear enough, he adds that “from compromised systems integrity and faulty regulatory oversight abroad, to the concentration of control in the hands of a very small group of inexperienced, unsophisticated and potentially compromised individuals, this situation is unprecedented.”

Progressive political activists in the state of Arizona are now scrubbing the footprints of their ballot submission assistance programs. Wait, Arizona(?) you say. Yes, Arizona a state where “ballot harvesting” is illegal, but email, fax, online and in person drop-off is possible. Ballot assistance is essentially the same harvesting process but in a smaller and more individualized scale.
