Longtime Donald Trump ally Steve Bannon who was spot-on with his prediction that the president would strike Iran on Saturday is now warning that it could spark World War III.
Bannon, who served as Trump’s chief White House strategist during his first term and continues to be an influential voice in the MAGA movement, referenced the looming attack on his ‘War Room Pandemic’ podcast hours before U.S. bombers carried out the strike.
‘I’m just reporting what I’m hearing from pretty good sources. The party is on,’ Bannon said on his podcast.
‘So another big weekend in this unfolding aspect of the Third World War – and no, anyone that’s telling you that the Third World War is not here, is absolutely, does not understand the development and evolution of kinetic energy,’ he said.
Hours later, Trump surprised the world a little before 8 p.m. ET Saturday by announcing on Truth Social that he had given the go-ahead to attack Iran.
Trump used six massive 30,000-pound ‘bunker buster’ bombs and 30 Tomahawk missiles to destroy Fordow, Natanz and Esfahan.
Trump addressed the nation, calling the strikes on a trio of Iranian nuclear sites a ‘spectacular military success.’
‘Tonight, I can report to the world that the strikes were a spectacular military success. Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated.’
He also gave a stark warning to Tehran that more attacks would be coming if the regime didn’t make peace.
I have been busy and unable to post more often. One big thing to say is it seems that Trump, so far, has been handling the Israel-Iran war well. So far, he has been keeping a wise distance and appears to be doing what he can to prevent WW3. He also seems to be showing that he is not Israel’s bitch and not a toady to Jewish Supremists. All we can know comes from signs and actions. What he has done and said and not done and not said lead me to conclude he has good control of his and USA’s role in this war. ABN
UPDATE: Conditions have changed. I was wrong with the above prediction. This is straight-up KOBK warfare now. ABN
Russia warned the United States against even thinking about supporting Israel‘s attacks on Iran as the burgeoning conflict entered its sixth day.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on Wednesday that direct U.S. military assistance to Israel could radically destabilise the situation in the Middle East.
Ryabkov said Russia cautions the U.S. against supplying such assistance to Israel – as the ministry warned Israeli strikes on nuclear facilities had pushed the region ‘millimetres away from catastrophe’.
The remarks came as the Ayatollah Khamenei issued a chilling threat to the U.S., warning that ‘any US military intervention will undoubtedly be accompanied by irreparable damage’.
‘This nation will not surrender to anyone in the face of imposition,’ he said in his first televised comments since Israel launched its surprise attack on Friday.
The stark warning came as U.S. officials indicated that Iran has 24 to 48 hours to surrender and save itself from American invention as President Trump considers joining Israel’s war.
White House officials said the next two days will be critical in determining whether Washington and Tehran can find a diplomatic solution to the burgeoning crisis in the Middle East.
In this, Trump shows he is either not Israel’s lapdog or he is pretending he is not Israel’s lapdog. Normal analysis of his demeanor and words is he has sidelined Netanyahu and Jewish Supremist in both Israel and USA. This is a sign that USA controls Israel, not the other way around. And also, it could be theater. But I think Trump wants lasting peace in the Middle East and has a good chance of seeing it happen through a coalition of regional powers controlling the region, with USA looking on. ABN
US aircraft carrier USS Nimitz is heading towards the Middle East as the conflict between Israel and Iran spirals into all-out war.
Donald Trump earlier warned that Iran will experience ‘the full strength’ of the American military if it attacks the US amid the conflict with Israel, despite reports he had vetoed Israel’s plans to assassinate Iran’s Supreme Leader.
The US President warned Tehran that if ‘we are attacked in any way, shape or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the US Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before’.
This all comes down to what ‘we’ means. So far, and as long as Trump continues to keep out of the conflict, ‘we’ means we are going to keep out of the conflict. This is good. It means radical Israeli Supremists are not getting any help from USA in establishing their Greater Israel fantasy; thus keeping them from becoming sole hegemon of the Middle East. This is KOBK game theory playing out before our eyes. ABN
Aspokesman of the Iranian Armed Forces has confirmed the shooting down of two Israeli F-35 fifth generation fighter aircraft during clashes on June 13, with state media subsequently reporting the capture of one female pilot who landed on Iranian soil after ejecting.
Although the veracity of these claims remains in question, an assessment of the circumstances of the F-35’s operations, and the capabilities of Iranian air defences, provides context which is invaluable to evaluating the likelihood that such shootdowns were achieved.
The F-35 is the only modern fighter currently in the Israeli Air Force’s fleet, with none of the service’s F-15s or F-16s having been produced at or modernised to a ‘4+ generation’ standard, while all continue to rely on mechanically scanned array radars considered effectively obsolete for high intensity engagements.
Confirmation that Israeli attacks on Iranian targets used not only air-launched missiles, which can be fired from F-15s and F-16s far beyond Iranian airspace with little risk to the aircraft, but also gravity bombs which these older fighters would struggle to brave Iranian airspace to drop, makes it highly likely that Israeli F-35s flew deep into Iranian airspace to attack their targets. Such operations are unprecedented, with prior Israeli attacks on Iran having consistently been launched from far outside the country’s airspace.
Although the F-35 retains advanced stealth capabilities, and Iranian air defences have shown signs of considerable limitations in the past, the sheer scale of Iran’s arsenal of air defence assets, the sophisticated capabilities of many of its systems, and the size of its fighter fleet, make it highly possible that F-35s were shot down.
Significant intelligence was collected and surveillance was carried out to incriminate senior Iranian security officials and nuclear scientists who were eliminated.
Alongside this, a covert operational campaign to damage Iran’s strategic missile array. The Mossad carried out a series of covert operations in Iran, which were intended to damage Iran’s strategic missile array and its air defense capabilities.
As part of their activities, Mossad agents implemented significant moves to introduce special weapons on a large scale, deploy them throughout Iran, and launch them towards the attack targets in a precise and effective manner.
These are three different operations:
First, in central Iran, squads of Mossad commando fighters operated to deploy operational systems of precision-guided weapons, in open areas near the location of Iranian surface-to-air missile systems (SAM).
With the beginning of the Israeli attack, in parallel with the air force attacks throughout Iran, the systems were trained and activated, and the precision missiles were launched directly at the targets at once and with great accuracy.
In another operational campaign to thwart Iran’s air defense capabilities that threaten Israeli fighter jets, the Mossad, in secret operations, planted sophisticated attack systems and technologies on vehicles. With the start of the surprise attack, the weapons were launched and completely destroyed the targets of the attack – the Iranian defense systems.
In the third campaign, the Mossad established a base of explosive drones that were infiltrated into the heart of Iran long before the attack by Mossad agents. During the Israeli attack, the explosive drones were activated and launched at the surface-to-surface missile launchers (SGMs) located at the Asfaqabad base near Tehran and that pose a threat to strategic targets and Israeli citizens.
Defence Minister Israel Katz has chillingly warned ‘Tehran will burn’ if more missiles are fired at Israel, following a barrage of ballistic weapons fired by Iran on Friday night which have killed at least three people and left dozens injured.
Katz said: ‘The Iranian dictator is turning the citizens of Iran into hostages and bringing about a reality in which they – especially the residents of Tehran – will pay a heavy price because of the criminal harm to Israeli civilians.
‘If (Ayatollah Ali) Khamenei continues to fire missiles toward the Israeli home front – Tehran will burn.’
His defiant stance came as more than 150 ballistic missiles were fired against Israel, with some striking residential buildings and military sites, including the IDF headquarters.
The Iranian strikes on Israel came as ‘painful revenge’ for a series of IDF attacks on the heart of Iran’s nuclear program and its armed forces.
Social media video showed interceptor missiles blasting off before a flash, a boom and an explosion of a warhead incoming.
