On one side, the liars in the government and international media. On the other, a True Polish Hero.
On Saturday, when a gunman opened fire on Kraków’s Main Market Square, senior constable Jakub Kulik and his partner, Artur Morański, did what heroes do: they ran toward the shots. They stopped him. Officials say the death toll would have been far higher without them.
Jakub is a former paratrooper, and for ten years he has been a volunteer firefighter. “For him, service was everything,” says the head of his fire brigade. Paratrooper, firefighter, policeman: all his life, he has run toward what others run from.
He was badly wounded, shot three times. One of his lungs is not working, and he is fighting for his life.
While a minister was busy writing a story, a constable had already dealt with the facts.
Pray for him. And if you can, give blood: he needs AB Rh+. Any blood donation center in Poland will take it – just say it is for Jakub Kulik.
Jakub, Poland is with you.
